Or how about no? It would be a PR disaster at season ticket renewal time, and basically admitting that we have given up on the slim chance of playoffs.

I really hope Maddison isn't off just yet. The only way I'd be happy with the deal this month is if we get a big offer (£20-25m) and him loaned back to us for the rest of the season. As Frank says if West Ham come in with a big offer I hope we immediately alert the big teams and let them all have it out. Anything less than that, and despite the good business (in some people's eyes anyway) that we've done this month, and I'll be very disappointed. Yeah we know there's practically no chance we'll get top 6, but as I've said before nobody wants this season to just fizzle out. I'd much rather we wait til the summer.

Really pleased with the 3 signings we've got in today. All of them actually look to be exciting additions, where as our acquisitions in the summer seemed to be more 'efficient' than actually exciting (in the sense that they were mainly defensive players).

Leitner probably the one I'm most looking forward to seeing. There's been some suggestion as well that we have the option on him to buy at the end of the season. Considering his pedigree as a youngster (played a considerable amount of games in Dortmund's title winning season as a 19 year old, was on the bench for them in the Champions League final a year later, after featuring in a few CL games earlier in the campaign) he's undoubtedly got ability it's just whether Farke can get it out of him, which hopefully he can. I like what I've heard about Srbeny, sounds like he'll fit out style pretty well. And Hernandez hopefully has a lot of raw pace and skill but hopefully with a bit of end product too unlike Wildschut. Looking forward to seeing them all, and Edwards!

As for Watkins, people always say how we don't have enough striker options, however it's easy to forget seeing as he's hardly ever played there this season that Watkins was bought as someone who could play that striker role. Going into the season, him, Jerome and Nelson looked like we had some very good options at top. He's been shocking so far, but looking at his past record there is clearly a player in there somewhere. Hopefully he can start to turn it around. If Farke doesn't think he can turn it around then I wouldn't be at all fussed if we offloaded him.

We won't need to do that. That is exactly what agents do.

And it's probably why the West Ham thing is out.

I'm sure Webber will certainly consider him, seeing as he's only apparently on something like 80k a week at Kyiv

Farke has now seen enough of this league to know the type of player that should do well here, I really hope he’s got it right with these three.

As it goes, I'm pretty sure Bethnal on the other forum said Mbokani has got a heart condition that has probably put a stop to his career.

Reports from Michael Bailey this morning stating that there has been no bid for Maddison from West Ham, and he doesn't feel that Man City or Liverpool are likely to make a move this window either.
