Trouble with Josh, imo, despite the goals etc. is inconsistency. I can remember plenty of grumbling on here over the season complaining about it. He still has the same faults of seasons ago, wild shooting, much more likely to hit row Z, head down, never looking up for his teammates (or only rarely), crossing leaving a lot to be desired for a wide player, not much cop defensively, one good game in 3/4. Certainly some of these faults should have been ironed out by now if he is really to progress. Time marches on, he's 23 now no longer a kid. I don't think he's consistent enough or has learnt enough for what we can afford now. If someone wants to pay good money for him, let's be havin' it.

Excited about Buendia. Don't know much about him but sounds as if he's very talented and we beat quite a few teams to his signature. If we can now get Leitner back I won't be too downtrodden about Maddison inevitably leaving.

As for Josh, I really don't know. If we got a bid of £7/8m for him I'd probably accept, though I wouldn't want to sell to another Championship team. I think there's a top Championship player in there, but at the same time he blows so hot and cold. I do really like him and think that fans do get on his back a bit too much, but there is no smoke without fire and the reason people get on his back is because he's so frustrating to watch. The amount of times he's taken on his man and brilliantly beaten him, only to then make completely the wrong decision when he's in the box is ridiculous. He literally does it 3 or 4 times a game. But then again he is one of our own, he definitely has ability perhaps just needs a bit more guidance, plus for all his faults as Morty says he did get double figures in all competitions for goals last year, something that's really not easy. Ultimately he's a bit of a wildcard. You never really know what you're gonna get from him. I'd probably prefer we keep him, but as I said if we get a bid of £7m I'd probably accept as I think we can certainly get someone to replace him for that money. That Jordan Jones has said he's leaving Kilmarnock, someone we've been linked with for a couple of transfer windows and is supposedly attracting a lot of interest from a lot of Championship clubs. Would love us to go for that Jorge Grant as well who smashed it at Notts County last season.

Despite a fair bit of moaning about him, from some quarters, I think most would rather see him stay a bit longer.

I'd be happy to sell him if we replaced with Marcus Maddison to be honest.

I think, for me, Murphy is a perfectly adequate player at this level. On a contract, and probably not on daft money. Assuming we will sell him for a high price, yet oddly not rating him, and assuming we will get better in, for less money, is a bit of a risk frankly. A risk that we don't really need to take.

Nah, too much we need to do to the squad.

This is our final year of having to pay Naismith, Jarvis, McGovern, Pinto and Klose. The latter two will probably be available for a fee this summer, unless they accept Tettey-style wage cuts for a new deal?

We need a lot of players all over the pitch, and need funds to subsidise an excessive wage bill for one year, the club really needs the Maddison money.

Murphy exit could be part of the Plan B if we don't sell Maddison though? I suspect that injury scare made them think long and hard about the 'Plan B'

I get the impression he just wants to play football and accepts that he will move on in the course of time. His Instagram today of him playing for us saying that he missed playing. It's only been couple of weeks and he's got a injury to recover from yet he just wants to play.
