Personally be began to grate on me when he was getting in front of the camera every week after poor performances and making a few noises about teammates letting us down, when he'd been one of the worst on the pitch. I know that means he was the one with the balls to stick his hand up and get in front of the cameras when most others would shy away, but whilst some where praising him for honesty and straight talking it often felt like me that he was contributing to a bit of a toxic blame culture that was prevalent.

A few occasions talking about how some individuals in the dressing room would need to be held responsible etc. What about winning and losing as a team and keeping that stuff in the dressing room? Sometimes sounded like he thought he was the manager.

And then that summer interview with TalkNorwichCity where he said that he's a good player etc, completely misjudging the mood of the fans and suggesting that he had an overly inflated view of his self worth and ability. Rangers fans hated him because he'd say things like he thought he'd played pretty well, when he hadn't.

I don't hate him, I just think he is in heavy denial about his decline and that's fine as long as he isn't on the pitch.... its Webber's fault that he is still here. Just completely misjudged this one, timing of his departure all wrong.

I can remember when Michael Nelson left halfway through our Championship season after looking very limited in this league. That was smart by Lambert and best for all concerned, left before his stock began to fall... with reputation intact.

I've never really bought in to the man to be honest, always just strikes me as thinking he's a better player than he is and struck me as having a bit of an ego and talks about himself far too much for a captain. People just sometimes outstay their welcome don't they.

Apparently popular amongst team mates, but that depends on whether there were cliques when he was here doesn't it? I suspect that there was.... popular as the leader of his own clique, indeed. Didn't feel like we had much togetherness pre-Farke.

Also, didn't he "express his concerns" to the board about Hughton, which led to us going down with Neil Adams? Do they call those types of people "snides", and was that really a good time to rock the boat? 5 games left? We were a national embarrassment when sacking our manager with 5 games to go in that position.

ps. Not saying he isn't a decent chap and doesn't care. Deserves some respect for his service and general professionalism over the years. Above sounds a bit harsher then it should I think.

I should have just said "I think he's exceeded his usefulness as a player and outstayed his welcome, and I don't know if he was always the best captain on the pitch", that would be fairer.

Presumably we'd only do the latter if he was good enough at Bolton to suggest that there may be people willing to pay something for him.

Good move for Bolton and Yanic that. I do like him to be fair I think he gives us a different kind of threat, but as good as his pace and power and ability to get us up the pitch is, his technical ability is pretty shocking. Doesn't bother me in the slightest that we've let him go, seeing as it saves us having to pay Wigan however much extra, and presumably now we'll sign a winger that'll take his place. Frustrating though that Harry Wilson has signed for Derby, would've loved him here.

Farke implying that we'll probably get 2 more players before the window shuts. I imagine they'll be a goalkeeper and a winger. Danny Ward also set to sign for Leicester for £10m, so that's one of our goalkeeper targets already gone. Need to get one in quick really the season starts in just over 2 weeks!

I quite like Wildschut and the way he tries to play football but there must be a reason why he's on his 9th club at the age of 26. I wonder when the bloke last played 90 minutes! Never looks like he has the stamina for that.

Seems quite likeable as a person to me though, never heard of him moaning about things or sounding entitled and he seems to be happy to just go 'wherever' to try and get games.... Wildschut won't be earning extra money to freeze his bollocks off at the Macron Stadium on a Tuesday night in December.

ps. And Farke says that Wildschut is one of the nicest guys he has worked with, and I doubt that Farke would make that up.... so that confirms what I suspected actually, that Wildschut is a very likeable character, good luck to him.

Interesting sort of player. He's a bit of a battering ram with his pace and power but he does also have the ability to beat defenders in tight, one-on-one situations.

However, he obviously doesn't fit in with how we want to play and perhaps he can't hit the fitness levels required either.

Has a break clause in January so we can sell him then if he's been playing well.
