Premier League 11

There's much debate over the starting 11 despite our incredible record breaking season.
It has been truly historic in so many different ways, it would require a thread of its own to list the records broken by the team this season and the mind blowing stats which quantify the treat we have enjoyed. Beyond all our expectations.

Here, perhaps, who would you like to start the first game in August, against Man City if you like?

New Keeper
Arrons Godfrey Zimmo Lewis
Trybull Leitner
Buendia Steiperman McLean Onel
Pukki

My concerns about this selection are,

Our wings defensively. I think that we could address this in two ways,
  1. Ask Lewis & Arrons to be clever about bombing forward, ensuring they don't both go at once, making sure there is cover.
  2. Play 3 at the back with Klose so the wingers are free to go when they want, leave McLean out.

It is hard to picture, frankly. Every time we get promoted there are players that you expect to step up, but don't, and vice versa. For instance, as great as Pukki is at playing his role in this division, will he be good enough a level up, playing against world class defenders?

As good as we think, say Arrons and Lewis are, will they be a bit more average in the Premier league? Being honest I can't see Todd nailing down a place, and don't forget there is no home grown player rule in the Prem, so a few of the British lads could find it tough getting in the team.

Lets hope Farke and Webber have more of an idea than I have :p

Pukki is a conundrum, his past record would suggest that he ain't gonna score in the Premier League. However, I think we would all have him upfront for the first few games whatever happens, purely based on his attitude and performance throughout this season.
Todd I'm sure could improve given the coaching, whether he will be first choice is doubtful, but I'm sure he will make progress to be a valuable squad player.

Obviously, haven't given consideration to any new players coming in thats an unknown and we have another thread for that.
Heise is also an unknown, subject to him not being used even on the bench so far. He played a u23 game but I can't recall anything outstanding about his outing.

Well I know things have moved on a bit but if Grant Holt could score in the Premier League then so can Pukki.

I'm not saying that he won't, but apart from Krull, and Timm Klose's 9 appearances, none of those players have played in the Premier league, so it is all a bit of an unknown quantity really. I think with a few additions we could well be okay, but we don't really know till we get there.

To be fair with Rhodes leaving and Srbeny not good enough for the Premier League, we'll need to sign two more strikers. Pukki though more than deserves his chance, and I would absolutely love him to be a success just like he has been at this level.

Think I posted this in another thread, but if we go up I'd want us to sign a new keeper, a back-up right back to Aarons, a new DM, a new winger/attacking midfielder, and two new strikers (I did initially say we should re-sign Rhodes as one of those, but thinking about I don't think we should unfortunately). I'd want to give a chance to as many as this squad as we can though, and I'm sure Farke will. The main question mark I think will be who starts in goal, assuming we sign a new keeper.
