I see that Sheff Utd have been linked with Charlie Austin for £10m, think I’d rather have Drmic on a free. Austin could play two matches and be out for a few months, bit of a risk to be spending that much on him

No doubting Drmic is a good player, played in the Champions League, Europa League, been Switzerland's first choice striker at a world cup and a European Championships, and in general has a very good record at international level. Plus he was 2nd in the Bundesliga's top scorers charts a few years ago, only behind Lewandowski. On a free transfer it's very good business.

But he's only played a total of 56 games in the last four seasons, scoring 8 goals in that period and last season he only played 5 times. He's been laden with injuries over the last few years, and if he gets a serious injury at some point then we're going to be massively reliant on Pukki, who as much as I back to do well next year, like all of the squad there's no guarantee that he can step up. I have to admit while I knew we wouldn't spend much money I thought that we would make a landmark striker signing, which Drmic doesn't really feel like.

That all said, ultimately I trust Farke and Webber 100%, so if they think he's the man to compete with Pukki and score some goals for us, then I'm more than happy to take their word for that. Look forward to seeing him in action!
