Wasn't able to watch the game. Looks as if from the highlights it was just one of them days but heard from a few fans that it was a terrible performance.

Anyone who went have any opinions on what Amadou, Roberts and Byram looked like?

Truly awful news about Klose as well. At least Zimmermann got some game time so he can come back in after the international break.

Amadou- got something about him but needs more game time to get up to speed
Roberts- did ok but no better than any of the three lads that already play behind Pukki, slightly disappointed if I’m honest as I think he’s better than I saw last night
Byram- ok, he’s not Aarons but a good back up and would probably be fine as and when Max leaves
This is based on the second half only :)

Hard to give decent opinions frankly, it was 11 players thrown together that have never played together before, and it showed. Pretty much what Frank said above. No one particularly stood out as a likely contender for Saturday.

Anyone scanned the CBs available on a free list yet? Looks like Klose's a busted flush regretfully.

To be fair I don't think we will bring anyone on a free. Zimmermann should be back for the Manchester City game, and with him in that leaves Hanley and Amadou as back-up. Admittedly Hanley hasn't been massively convincing so far, and Farke seems to see Amadou as a defensive midfielder, which is where I'd rather see him, but they're probably both better options than anyone who's still a free agent. If Klose is out for the season I think it's more likely we pray Zim and Godfrey stay fit until January, and then sign someone.

Farkes comments about Idah were a bit strong,

We had to give Teemu Pukki a rest and it was important to give Adam Idah his debut," added Farke. "Of course he is not that experienced that he can win this game all alone. It was one of those evenings when he scored an own goal and missed two or three big chances.
"We won't punish a player for that - it's up to me to back the player because it's the experience he needs in order to step up in his career.
"He is probably the most disappointed player in the dressing room but if I'm really honest I'm not going to punish players for a lack of quality.
"It's up to me to back them and that's what I'll do."

Maybe it's lost in translation? Seems to say that Idah scored an own goal an missed some sitters but he wont punish players for lack of quality.
