Norwich City vs Southampton (away) Wednesday 4th December.

Absolutely no reason to change yesterdays team for this one. A win here would be huge, but not easy, Southampton are still decent, and probably better than Everton!

Agree. Confidence must have improved after the last 2 matches, so at least a draw for me.

A must-not-lose for me, though a win would be absolutely amazing. Like with Everton the other week as well, the Southampton crowd will start to get on their teams back if things aren't going their way. If we can frustrate them, and play at the same level we have been last couple of weeks, we'll undoubtedly get something from this.

As said above, absolutely no reason to change the team. This is 100% the sort of game we need to get something out of if we wanna stay up, particularly with a couple of tricky games coming up after this. OTBC

How Simon Hooper continues to be employed by the FA is a genuine mystery to me.

Also, I'm sure everyone already knows but for those that don't all the Premier League games tonight, as well as a few more throughout December, including obviously our game tonight and Villa away on Boxing Day, are being show live on Amazon Prime, and is free if you're a prime member. That was pathetic. Southampton have been organised defensively, 10 men behind the ball and hard to break down, and somehow James Ward-Prowse has turned into prime David Beckham. But regardless we've been so fucking poor. No sort of cohesion, players who have been superb last couple of weeks either not in the game or are just all over the place. Such a big game and we put in a performance like this, so disappointing.

We were better following the half-time changes, but kinda redundant seeing as we were already 2-0 down. That all said, we should've come away with a point. Terrible miss by Byram at the end.

Even at 2-1 down with not long left in the game, we really lacked urgency. We were sitting far too deep, with Godfrey and Zimbo pretty much camped on the edge of our own box. Would like to see Lewis back in for Byram next game, think we looked really unbalanced with a right footer on that left hand side. Tettey and Buendia looked good when they came on.

Some tough games coming up now, can't see us getting many points unfortunately. All the momentum we've built up last couple of games completely dissolved. So frustrating.

I feel a bit negative, but here it is anyway.
Byram - No end product, no way would that have been better than Lewis.
Amadou - Bit disappointed that he only got a short time in his specialist position, not even time to settle down when had to go into defence and then onto the bench.
McLean - After some bright performances in his preferred 10 slot, ended up as a playing deep, thats not his game so unsurprisingly he was crap.
Trybull - I thought he started well and was unfairly substituted.
Onel - Was marked by two defenders most of the night.
Emi - Needs to play more.
Farke - I'm sorry but it wasn't rocket science, Southampton played with a high press and long balls to their Long & Ings.
That surely doesn't require three different formations to cope with?
Why continually play the ball back to Krul, from our own corner on one occasion, when Southampton are pressing high. It just caused problems amongst the defence.
Most of that is simple basic organisation, Farke and the coaches on the training pitches.
We let two goals in at corners, the one thing which can be practised in training is defending corners!
It's embarrassing.

Farke has been talking about Sheff Utd overloading the wings and his only suggestion regarding this (he also said the same regarding the Southampton pressing on Wednesday) was to attack.
He even talked down the concept of long passes, which City used against Southampton and Everton, because Pukki wasn't 2m tall.
There was some fudge about our players not being tall enough to defend corners!
I've no idea if he's saying that for the media and therefore Sheff Utd?
I only know that we're still shipping goals even with our A Team back in defence.
Farke and the coaching staff have to take responsibility for it. It's relegated us the last two occasions and it will do in May unless he changes dramatically now.

Didn't realise we were playing mid week game,so didn't watch,this means that I didn't waste good sipping stuff either. Last season, after visiting the Carra, I stated that I thought Sheff U were a stronger team than Leeds, looking at how they are performing now, I'm rather glad that Iwill still be out here for their visit at the weekend.

What DF is saying there is the biggest load of pony I've heard for a long time. I always thought he fed us a reasonable amount of truth. I'm doubting his word now, and I resent being treated as a bloody idiot. I have been supporting this lot since before he was born..................thank you.
