He has so much credit in the bank I couldn’t do it to him ( yet ) so it's another ten games for me

His foibles make it difficult for him to be successful in the Premier League

For God's sake don't appoint Adams any higher than he is now. The next step would be Delia's darling Russell Martin in the chair..............that's when I leave.

I'd be surprised if we finish anything other than bottom but the guy is a class act.

In the Chumps, yes, but not it seems in the PL.

This season is slightly different from previous experience because we have Normann and Kabak.
Obviously neither of them are match fit yet, it remains to be seen whether they will be sufficient to keep us safe this time although the signs look promising, particularly with Normann.

IF they do have an impact on results, then the obvious concern is that we're only one injury or suspension from losing our DM, and reverting back to our suicide football tactics.

If Farke was to learn about winning games in the Premier League, he should have got it some time ago.
I believe that winning games is more important than trying to emulate Brazil 100% of the time.

Agree, to a certain extent. It depends how obsessed you are about being a Premier league club. Would I rather that we are Burnley, or how Stoke used to be, playing awful football, hoping to be 4th from bottom every season? No I would not. I wouldn't change the last ten years for anything, its always been fun, always something to fight for. But yes, sometimes you have to grind out a result, and the addition of Kabak and Normann shows we want to be able to do that, but you can't expect it to be instant.

Yeah but I meant the man in general. With Farke I think we've got someone invested in this club.

I'm not convinced that the summer recruitment has been good enough to say we should be doing better.

Not an obsession for the Premier League, but can you tell me that £100+ million for another season wouldn't help the club budget?

That's not really how it works though, is it? You don't suddenly get richer, you just pay out more in overheads and wages. And if you finish 4th from bottom every single other club that finished above you immediately has more money to spend straight away. We have become financially comfortable through being run well and scouting and developing good players, that we get money for. Not from our forays into the Prem.

We should have spent the Emi money on three or four really good acquisitions instead of our scattergun approach (imo)...

What players have we bought that haven't worked out? Surely a bit too early to tell? The squad had a lot of players that were obviously not good enough for the Prem.

Who should we have bought?

I didn't say any of the players haven't worked out. But with the benefit of hindsight we should have done our business a lot earlier instead of bedding in players and experimenting with systems and formations well into September...

We had to wait until players were available, I believe, and until the price was right. I don't think it is anything that could be helped. And with us being a newly promoted side, favourites to go down, I should imagine we weren't the first choice club of some of the players, so they likely waited to see what other offers were on the table. No it isn't ideal, but I feel sure if Webber could have got the business done earlier, he would have.
