I think I'd put Tzolis instead of McLean.
Later in the game perhaps. Assume it is the play of keep it tight, maybe nick something on the break, bring the pacey guys on later, against tired legs.

I think not losing is more important than winning today.

McLean has given a goal away in each of the past two games, Tzolis hasn't.

Absolutely now way we'd start Tzolis and Giannoulis, away from home...
To keep starting him despite his continually giving goals away? What message does it send to the other players, apart from Farke's romantic preferences.

Is Kenny your scapegoat for this season then?

Not a bad performance overall but man the quality when we get the ball in the final 3rd is lacking. Sargent and McLean the two main culprits. Pukki has been making some nice runs in behind the Burnley back line, and given Tarkowski and Collins’ lack of mobility that looks to undoubtedly be our best route to goal, but a few times this half when we’ve gone to look for that ball either the pass is poor or we’ve delayed it too long so that it isn’t on any more. The final ball needs to be so much better.

Pleased with Normann and Lees-Melou so far, both of them are the players we need to get the ball too. I also think we have a much better balance with Giannoulis back in.

We did sit back far too deep in the last 5/10 minutes of that half, basically invited the crosses on which we can’t afford to keep doing. This game is there for the taking though. If we can keep it at 0-0 then I’d definitely look to do what we did last week where we bought Tzolis and Rashica on and cause far more problems from the wing. Big 2nd half needed!

Sargent and McLean off for Rashica and Tzolis

That's what I would've done too. I can kind of understand Kenny staying on as Farke wanted to keep our shape, but Sargent didn't have a great game and was clearly blowing in the last 20/25 minutes.

Certainly not a bad result, seeing as our record at Turf Moor is terrible and we usually really struggle to deal with their physicality. We stood up to the physical side of their game really well, particularly in the 2nd half. Our back 3 was completely solid. Hanley and Gibson had great games but I'm liking Kabak more and more every time he plays. That run in the second half where he took the ball from the edge of one box to the other was incredible! (Although I do wish he'd slipped Sargent or Pukki in at the end of that run).

Both full-backs were good, though I would've liked to have seen them take on their opposing full-backs a little bit more when they had them in 1 on 1 situations. Aarons and Giannoulis both seemed a bit hesitant to do so. Normann was probably man of the match yet again, he's turning out to be a bit of a coup for us. I don't mind this 5-3-2 formation away from home, but I'll be a bit worried if we stick with it for the rest of this season, it may give us more solidity but it sacrifices practically all of our attacking threat. I'd at least like to see it adjusted a bit so that one of the midfielders maybe makes way for a Cantwell/Dowell, who can play in the number 10 role.

A bit disappointing as I felt the win was there for the taking if we just showed a little bit more quality in the final 3rd. At least though we've finally ended that awful consecutive losses stat, and hopefully over the international break we can finesse the formula a bit and make this result a platform to build off of. Have to say though based off today's evidence, both these sides are going to have to make improvements or I can't see our positions change too much between now and May. At least today though we do have one or two reasons to feel a bit positive.

Clean sheet, first point, Premier league losing streak over (So folk can shut the fuck up about what happened 2 seasons ago!) and still only 3 points from safety.

Oh and the scum lost.

:D
