The pinkun does things in different timescales to the rest of us.

Here is a copy of my ban ;)

To help me cope with the absence of the Pink un message board, I'd considered subscribing to the PinkUn stuff behind the pay wall. I wonder if that is happening with others so increasing subscribers and whether it might explain the time it is taking them to get the message board up and running again.

I suppose it's a possibility as I wouldn't bother with the guff churned out everyday, otherwise.

That's what I meant by a few having quite fixed views. You (one) need(s) to be more flexible as you get older and not go the other way. It's a challenge often but worth it.
Agree with FF as well and pleased more people post.
You might know Carl Rogers and his theory of personality change that talks about moving from “fixity” to “changingness” during (person-centred) personal therapy.

Spot on IMHO. Stay open and don’t be afraid to change your mind.

No, not read Rogers' work but know about his overall principles. I was a counsellor for 25 years and used many different theories as a basis for working. What used to work for one person didn't mean it did for another.

There's a view (I believe) that we get more conservative as we age (both politically and behaviour wise) but I'm unsure it's useful. People do change though and it's amazing!

Off Topic Edit: Fantastic news about Harry Kane (just watching him now) and a great bloke with it.

Definitely agree about Harry, gets a lot of unnecessary stick, and I'm not sure why. An absolute model professional.

Whilst I think it was true in the past (politically anyway) I’m not sure it will be the case in the future. With large numbers priced out of owning a home, not having kids and being stuck in insecure employment I can’t see them suddenly changing their voting habits to protect the status quo. People won’t become conservative if you’ve given them nothing to conserve.
I’m glad for Harry Kane, wasn’t good enough for our club though was he!

He was only 19 and basically just showed he needed another Championship loan.

Watch Crnac leave and then pop up a few years later bossing it at Napoli or something, it's the Norwich way

I’ve just migrated here from the Pink ‘Un. Just wanted to say what a well thought out forum this is. So easy to read and navigate and looks fantastic. Makes the old Pink ’ Un message board look archaic. Well done.

It is frustrating that the pinkun could, quite easily, use this software, and look a lot better.

You'd think that this would be the perfect opportunity for them to do just that, but I suspect they'll just install one of the php patches there are coming out at the mo.

Politically speaking, yeah, I think you've a point there. The Conservative Party has often been associated with much older members and the property owning suburbs.

Psychologically though, do you not think that we all have a propensity to get stuck in our ways? The same patterns on repeat and a (often misguided) belief that we can trust our years of experience and knowledge gained? It is also difficult to argue with someone who falls back on their experience most of the time. Our experiences can be limited ones.

Anyway, this isn't about football but about what is wrong with the Pinkun forum. I believe it's been going downhill for a number of years. This place is a little bit of fresh air, and a change is no bad thing.
