So the transfer deadline has closed, and barring any late registrations and ignoring the forthcoming loan window (and our ability to sign free agents) it looks like our transfer ins and outs for this summer have finished like this:
Transfers In
Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe £4m
Conor McGrandles £1m
Cameron Jerome (Undisclosed)
Carlos Cuellar (Free)
Gary O'Neil (Free)
Kyle Lafferty (Undisclosed)
Lewis Grabban (£3m)
Ignasi Miquel (Undisclosed)
Jos Hooiveld (Season long loan)
Louis Thompson (Undisclosed)
Transfers Out
Leroy Fer £10m
Anthony Pilkington £2m
Van Wolfswinkel (Season long loan)
Robert Snodgrass £7m
Andrew Surman £1m
Lucciano Becchio (Loan until January)
David Fox Released
Carlo Nash Released
Carlton Morris (Loan until January)
We've signed more than we've sold in this window!
For me, I'm very happy with what we've brought in and think we've done decent business on the outgoing front too. Just a bit gutted that we are stuck with Bassong who is probably on a good £30k to £40k a week, he will be leeching off of the club until January at least.
Suspect that Mark Bunn will be offski on emergency loan when a club decides they need a keeper.
A good mix of youth and inexperience incoming, could argue that we needed the experience more than we needed the youth, but it does show that the club still has one eye on the long term health of the club and not just the immediate return to the Premier League.
A good 8/10 for me. I hope that the arrival of three center backs signals a return to right back for Russell Martin.
Your thoughts?
