7 games in 22 days, how many points?

We have the best squad of all these teams (I know Cardiff might feel differently) so there is no reason why we can't do really well. Would like to see us win all of our home games, get at least 2 away league wins and progression in the cup.

11 points or more from the league and I'd be happy. 3 wins 2 draws and a defeat seems an acceptable minimum expectation. I actually think it will be 14 as I genuinely can't see any one of those sides beating us.

Nothing less than a win in the cup.

Think we can win all six matches, starting of course with Cardiff.  Win that and the confidence gained will carry us forward into the following five matches with every match winnable.

Feeling very positive after yesterday, cant see why we cant get 18 points from these games, to come back from 2 nil down is a massive confidence boost for everyone. Cardiff only managed a short rally at 2-3, at times in the second half they were chasing shadows around their own box.

On the one hand logic says that the strength of our squad is such that 18 points is achievable but football isn't always logical. The reality is that at some point we're going to be on the wrong end of a bit of bad luck or some dodgy refereeing, or just have an off day for 90 minutes (as opposed to just the 45 yesterday). If we took 15 points frm Gazza's original 7 games (ie 12 from the remaining 6) I'd be very happy.

Its also worth remembering how tough our opening 12 games are in comparison to some of the teams up there with us (Forest being a prime example). However, the other side of that coin is that we're putting ourselves up to be shot at as a result of our form. We're going to be a lot of teams' Cup Final.

There's a long way to go but we're doing just fine, and there's no need to peak too early.

Another fly in the ointment is that officials can influence results which are beyond the managers control.

Having said that, I still think we can get 16-18 points.
