I also think Howson will be massive for us this season.

I think this is a pivotal season for Howson,  both for city but also his career.

The last couple of seasons he has flattered to deceive; he has shown flashes of brilliance but too often disappears from the game and is simply over run.    No assists last season and just two and 5 goals for his 68 appearances is not enough for an attacking midfielder (in comparison Surman has 4 goals in 29 appearances,  wes 82 bringing a more impressive 8 goals 11 assists (premier league games only).   He has to overcome his habit of playing worse when BJ is in the side (hopefully adams simply plays GON instead of BJ) and improve on a career record of citys win and lose ratios being worse with him in the side than not. 

For me this is his season to shine.    Assuming Fer goes he has to grasp this opportunity to dominate midfield and become our star;  he has the ability to use his vision to  pass and create,  a great engine and clearly some under utilised  leadership potential.   Come on Howson,  its time for your to say Heeeeres Jonny.

Well said, i was hoping he would be made captain and the team built around him, but alas i was being definitely too hopeful.  Speak to any Leeds supporter and those who i know are always amazed that Snoddy has become the (now ripped in two) poster boy and not Howson.

Adams has already said quite emphatically how important Jonny will be to the team this year and this is his chance to shine again. The same could be said for Wes now that he looks like committing himself to the club again (he certainly has committed himself during the pre-season!).

Howson will be key for us this season. Probably the best midfielder we've got on our books. Hopefully he can show some of the form he had before he got injured last season

I thought he would be made team captain this season . One of the first names on the teamsheet. If, and this could be a big if, we get in an experienced cb where does this leave team captain Martin?

I'm sure Adams' has thought about that Mustard Gas. Gafaiti as number four CB could be considered enough for this league. A young RB on loan is another possibility.

We have to consider all aspects. Grabban scored 24 goals last season, or however many. Is our team capable of providing him with a better service to do even better? Beccio, for some reason, is not rated by our coaches, and this is CH's people and NA's people, who have apparently come to the same conclusion.​
