Alcopops

It doesn't sit comfortably with me that Kenny is seen several times over the past couple of weekends swigging alcopops.
I understand that the club will take cases of beer / champagne to celebrate the promotion and subsequently championship title.
What doesn't look good, in my opinion, is that Kenny has brought his own supply of alcopops to wave at the camera.
This is a sweet fruit flavoured 13% fortified wine.
You'll need to buy it online or go to Scotland/ USA.
I might have got it horribly wrong but it doesn't sit well with me.

Webber and Farke have basically said on camera that they are happy for the players to get drunk so can't have any complaints.

Plus I suspect there were one or two in a worse state than him that we didn't see much of... Zimmerman sitting down behind the glass on the bus, presumably because he couldn't stand ha.

It is a chav drink but it's not actually any stronger than more sophisticated wine (13 percent).... Could argue that swigging out of bottles of Bolly or Cristal would be more offensive, in a city which is a low wage economy.

In fact I'd definitely be more offended if they were spraying expensive champagne everywhere... There is that angle, Hernandez likes Argos instead of Harvey Nichols and Kenny McLean likes spending a tenner on a bottle of booze instead of 300 quid?

during the open top bus tour, Louis Thompson was spraying champagne everywhere, I got soaked, didn't care one bit, and would let them do that every day if it meant we kept having seasons like we've just had

My oldest lad is now scouring the net trying to buy MD 20/20. I told him prepare to be disappointed

Back in the day I would have Strawberry or kiwi, orange was definitely last choice!

Well it doesn't offend me either, but if I were of the mind to find something to be offended about then spraying Cristal everywhere like an F1 driver would be well ahead of drinking an alcopop.

Also.... you can get a 75cl bottle of non-vintage champagne for £14 from Tesco, and that's a bit different from £150+ it would cost for a bottle of Cristal.

Because you can't buy it in the corner shop etc, kids are drawn to that kind of thing.
It may be that he has a sponsorship deal or something, but I don't know.
