Love Adnams Broadside. But by jingo, its strong stuff!

Legend say its made from dead badgers, and that black water that comes out of your radiators when you bleed them.

I tried CHB at the Coach and Horses on Saturday. Heading up there before the game again tonight but certainly won't be having that again. Horrible stuff.

Just in case anyone was interested. I came across a pretty good app for your phone to catalogue and rate all the Beers or Ales you try. It's called Untappd (Without the E) . I quite like it and it's handy for keeping track.

You should do this. We did it earlier this year. Great fun and gets you round the Fat Cat pubs. Each got slightly different offerings. The Brewery Tap is the best.

Also, there's the Mash Tun. Good selection in there. Worth a look. I'm a lager drinker and they stock some good German beers (Augustiner and Ayinger).
Will do this one day! Looks brilliant haha!

Ha, I was in there last night for a Pre-Game CHB! I don't mind it personally, not my favourite, but will have it if I'm in the Coach

Maybe just didn't go down too well on Saturday. Last night I tried the Dreadnought which I thought was really good and the Old Tackle which I wasn't a massive fan of either.

No problem mate. It's quite handy, as if you're at a pub and check the beer in at that pub, it creates a database....so if I wanted to find out where St Peter's Golden Ale was, I could just go to that beer page and see where people had checked it in, so I just did that and now I know it's at the Waterfront in Norwich.  :D

Thumbs up to the Plasterers, Kings Head (Magdalen St) and Ribs Of Beef, they're all fantastic and varied real ale pubs.

The Plough on St Benedicts is owned by the guy who runs the Grain Brewery, and there's always a decent selection of their own ales available "straight from the horses mouth" as it were.

Whenever my father-in-law comes down from T'up North we always make a beeline for the Fat Cat on Nelson St. His aim is to do every ale from one end of the bar to the other in one session! Needless to say we've never achieved it thus far, but had a laugh trying.

As a CAMRA member (yeah, I know...) I'd also recommend the Norwich Ale Festival held annually at St Andrews Hall in October. Hundreds of real ales and ciders on offer.

100% Grain brewery is one of my local favourites too, sadly i can only handle a few bottles nowadays so testing ale's is not my strongest point anymore, and sure to upset a few real ale drinkers i like them chilled (Argh! I said it!)

Love their IPA, but it can be devastating if you're not careful - it's not your usual relaxing IPA, don't get me wrong, it tastes great after cutting the grass, but it has a habit of....urm... causing a knockout effect where not much matters anymore lol!  Harvest Moon great too.

Any beers from the Wolf Brewery are excellent, they are on in the Eaton Cottage (and elsewhere, doubtless). I am lucky to live round the corner from the Eaton Cottage and the Beehive, two excellent real ale pubs with a decent set of locals (not that I am in any way a local as having two young kids means my trips to the pub are as rare as RvW's goal celebrations).

You still have to go a long way to beat a pint of London Pride, mind you - but Wolf's Golden Best is a great hoppy session beer at a meagre 3.7%.

I recommend that you all read this blog post right to its hilarious end: http://weirdbeardbrewing.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/camden-beard.html

You will probably, like me, be adding Weird Beard's 'K*ntish Town Beard' to your lists of want-to-try's. I've also added Camden Town Brewery to my blacklist. It's a new list actually, there's nothing else on it.

Perhaps we could have like a monthly forum meet or something? Different pub each time for those who live in the City?

I'm not in Norwich a lot, but if it fell on a date I was back then I would like that a lot.
