I know that a 30 year old isn't the type of player that Webber would usually sign (or ever?).

But he was left out of Cardiff's 25 man squad so is currently in no mans land.

We do seem to be a player short in those three attacking midfielder spots, not when all 5 are fit but when any one of them is injured.... and we seem to be lacking goals from the attacking midfielders.

Would you have him back for the second half of the season on loan? Or do we think he perhaps won't fit in with Farke because he's capable of the odd tantrum?

Interesting. A player I really rated a few years back, though don't know to profess much about his current form.

I do feel that we are missing a few more direct, pacy players though.

Scored several goals off the bench towards the end of last season to help Cardiff to promotion, think he fell out with Warnock last season before that before Cardiff fans pretty much begged him to use him.

Should imagine its pretty easy to fall out with Warnock though, but Pilkington also fell out with Hughton I think.

He has still got the ability but I wonder whether he's got the right mentality for Farke to be honest, or whether he'd end up falling out with him after a couple of months.

He's actually out of contract at the end of the season.

Just wonder whether he might be a decent player for the squad now seeing as he has the ability to score goals off the bench etc.

Well he's not quick, he was very two footed but also injury prone - only managed a 152 minutes last season. I think Wildshut played more than that for them, and he's already our player!

In hindsight a pretty crap idea really, signing a 30 year old on loan goes everything we stand for... Especially one who won't be able to keep up with farke's intensity. Damn you nostalgia.

Does feel like we need one more attacking mid though, we've got 5 and we play 3.... So 2 per position would leave one vacancy? Hernandez and McLean being out at the same time perhaps supports that view.

Pukki sort of started as one of those for us but has established himself as the player who leads the line.

Need more goals out of those players though, hoping Cantwell will become more of a goal threat once he has grabbed his first, did score two for Fortuna.
