Maybe the theory about relegated teams is correct. Maybe our players who came through the Prem are too far up themselves to admit they are playing in the Championship.

I think its less that they are up themselves and more that they know that whatever happens, this January or next summer, they are going to have Prem offers. Who is going to be more desperate to help Norwich get to the Prem? A player who's unlikely to be on the radar of Prem clubs, or one who's agent knows exactly who's interested and how much they'll pay them?

Lambert understood this, we never should have abandoned our policy of buying the best the football league had to offer.

Cuplrits implies intention. I don't think any of them were undermining him (Bassong aside), there were just too many lapses in concentration that led to goals, and too much wasteful finishing.

Agreed culprit was perhaps harsh. What I meant was, who was Adams relying on as a major contributor but whose contribution has been small. I have to point the finger at Martin.  All the pre match huddles and clapping of hands is very much de rigueur but of little value if it is not backed up by leadership (although I believe he is still one of our better players) when it matters. It doesn't appear if the rest would walk through fire for him.

I wouldn't go so far as culprits, but many of our players coming down from the PL seemed to think they could 'coast' a bit in this league and it has cost us points big time.

When this was first posted, I would say I was vexed by how erratic we were. Today has heralded the transition to depression. Rolling the dice now, and we rarely throw 6es at Norwich.

OK I'm feeling depressed now, what I feared in my previous post has now happened and I have no confidence in someone coming in and taking us forward from this point in the season. I really hope I'm wrong, I really hope the board have someone amazing lined up and have basically told Adams to take the dignified exit before it becomes messy.

Whoever takes charge permanently I wish them all the best and will be right behind them, but I can't help but feel it will be a case of being careful what you wish for. I really hope I'm wrong. As an aside, if Phelan gets the job I really will be left wondering what the hell is going on.
