This isn't about whose the better side, we are by a country mile, but that's irrelevant in this situation, it seems to be fate that we would miss automatic promotion to meet Ipswich in the Play Offs, who only just barely managed to get into it. The likely outcome now would be Ipswich beating us and getting promoted, it's just s*d's law.

Since we played them this season (they looked poor on both occasions) we have got better, so although football is a funny old game sometimes, I am struggling to see what new/innovative tactics the Binners can bring to the table to counter us over 2 legs. They will have their resilience and fire in their bellys, but quality over the two legs to succeed? i am not sure. Even a Binner season ticket holder I have been speaking to this week, thinks MM's football is awful to watch, and limited in it's effectiveness

I am sure they will have their moments, but the real deal will be just after 2 o'clock next Saturday, and not before then

They will look to keep it tight, pressure us, and nick a goal from a set piece or on the break etc.  If they can come away from Saturday's game with a win or a draw, they'll look to keep it tight at CR - MM will remind them that teams like Wigan have got a win at CR with exactly that approach this season.

It's a tie we ought to win over 2 legs but football is a perverse game sometimes and it does throw up outcomes like the team that lost twice to its rivals in the regular season but edges them out over the playoffs.  No scope for the least bit of complacency.

I think AN will be telling the team they will have to work harder in these 2 games than they have so far this season to get a result.

I personally feel that Ipswich need at least a 2 goal win to take back here to carrow road to stand any chance really, and I just cant see that happening to be honest, not bricking it at all, nervous somewhat but more excited and optimistic that we will go there and do the job that needs to be done and let our all round quality shine through

Initially I was bricking it a little I have to say..BUT..as the week has progressed I have calmed and am now relatively confident although expecting a tough first match at least.  Sure its a local derby which in itself is a leveler plus a cup games where form goes out of the window. However, I just feel that this Town team when they "had to win" in the last game (although good fortune elsewhere saved them) at Blackburn,messed up and lost.....will do the same again over two matches against a better team than Blackburn.

We need to keep them out,   if they get the lead he will park 10 buses and say you break us down..then hit us with even more l--o--n--g balls, coming down with freaking snow on.   We know we do seem to have a job breaking down a lesser side (lolol  they do fasll into that class don't they)
