Anyone Still Sceptical About Adams?

I was 100% behind Adams getting the job but never thought he would get it with Malky and Lennon being available and them obviously having more experience.

I always thought he would do well but I didn't think it would happen this quickly. For me Adams always had a bit of Stringer/Lambert about him and I think that's clear for all to see now.

Some people do need to realise that we will lose games and we will have a bad run at some point but if the fans keep 100% behind Adams and the players we can win this league.

I honestly couldn't care if he wears a suit, tracksuit or a froggy-style onesie.

As long as we're playing good football and winning matches, he can wear what he likes.

It's promising early days, my main concern is still the defence and that we make such a poor start to games, so yes I'm still sceptical, is this just a honeymoon period for Adams?

It's been good but we have our weaknesses, are we simply riding our luck? Maybe I'm just a pessimist but I can't shake the fear it's all going to unravel at any moment, hopefully I'm wrong and things will only get better from here.

Jury is still out.

Wolves was pretty awful, got the tactics totally wrong from the start and didn't change things quick enough.

Watford and Blackburn were good, switched things around and got the team functioning well.

Ipswich was okay, great result, but not the greatest performance.

Eddie Howe got the better of him in the Bournemouth game, and Norwich's weakness at full back was exploited for the goal.

Cardiff 1st half awful, 2nd half excellent.

What I am most impressed with is how he has handled the squad, apart from Bassong there have been no major fall outs or incidents with the players - a rare thing post relegation - and a very good transfer window (although how much say he has had in all that is up for debate). Glad to see the Russel Martin at CB experiment appears to be over and will be interesting to see what happens tonight, think the team and possibly formation needs a little shake up to keep things fresh.

I don't disagree with any of that, however how much more could we realistically expect, all things considered?

True - I am happy with Adams so far, but not going to say I'm convinced yet. I don't think any manager could really 100% convince after 6 games. But, I thought Adams had been given a tough start to the season when the fixtures came out so to be 2nd after 6 games is more than I hoped for.

What is nice also is the attacking intent, the seemingly togetherness of the squad and the positive moves in the transfer window. Will have to wait until another month or so at least until making much of a judgement on results/performances.

There was so much that could have, quite easily, gone wrong.

Neil could have turned out to be awful, we had no way of knowing. The transfer window could have certainly gone a lot, lot worse. We could have struggled to shake off the post relegation blues. We could have lost against the scum

I think it is testament to how well things have worked out (so far) that so few are complaining, because there were plenty that didn't want Neil, and were predicting disaster. I suspect when we lose a game or two, they will re-emerge!

It's one of the ironies of football that the better you do, the less prepared people are for the occasional set-back. The doubters will emerge again then.

I seem to recall that Lambert preferred the tracksuit apparel, and it did him no harm. As long as we keep going the way we are, he can turn up in any outfit for all I care.

True, true, but who knows what Lambert might have achieved had he worn a nice suit?
