Bad Non-Football People

Did anyone else see the tweets Adel Gafaiti sent out over the weekend (at least I believe that was when they were sent)?  I am not sure if it has been picked up by many news groups yet.  His tweets are quoted below:

"Had 4 really good years @‌NorwichCityFC , learned a lot on and off the pitch, but it's time to move on and discover something different."

"Wish nothing but the best to @‌NorwichCityFC , I feel bad for the fans tho, wish you guys could really know what happens inside this club"

"@NorwichCityFC Managed by so many bad non football guys that don't know how manage the club and their players, 1st team and youths included"

Yes losing DM in the manner that Norwich did certainly paints a bad picture, but does it really mean that no one left in the higher up positions at Norwich is a football person?  Even if that is the case, I hope these 'non football people' can recognize this and bring in someone who knows the ropes and can help the club bounce back to the Premier League in the first time of asking.

Yes I've seen them and let us all immediately believe what he says. After all he is someone who came with a high reputation and was on the verge of the first team under Adams only to fade without trace over the last year.  With all our issues with central defence he has not been near the first team squad. Now he has been released and not purchased by a big club. Or any club come to that. 

He couldn't possibly have an agenda? Could he?

Just smacks of a player having a chip on his shoulder because he didn't make the grade, pretty sure he went to Oldham on loan in League 1 and got sent back after 3 minutes of football. He came highly rated from Rangers, but apparently not highly rated enough for them to sign him again?

Plus it would be pretty difficult to build a board and executive team made up of "football people" to run a nine figure business, you get the odd exception to the rule, but its not like footballers typically embark on careers as chartered accountants, lawyers, or do MBA's when they retire and I doubt Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha fully understood the offside rule when he purchased Leicester.

The worst bit is that an obvious parody account tweeted: "We are keeping f&*king Turner but not Adel Gafaiti", and he retweeted it, embarrassing lack of self awareness / delusions I think! 

Turner is about three years past his best before date but he'd get in the Oldham team!

He couldn't possibly have an agenda? Could he? 

I completely understand he likely does have an agenda probably due to not having a shot at the first team.  He is only 21 years old and is highly likely to run on pure emotion especially when things impact him.  That being said, these sorts of things have a chance to have some sort of truth to them.  I have no idea how much of a chance, and with all we have to go off of are his cryptic tweets only time will tell.

I agree Canaryboy.  A business takes lots of different people, especially large and successful ones.  I am just hoping that whoever is picked to replace DM can fill the void left by him and do that much more for the club, football person or not.

It doesn't take a huge amount of imagination to suppose that he was good friends with others players, such as  Grabban or Bradders, who might have been in his ear. Firing other people's bullets.

Whatever the reasons for his outburst, it won't alter anything at the club. I don't really believe things are as bad as he alludes to but he is probably right about the lack of football expertise or nous at the club's management level. Hospitals are currently in a mess because accountants not medically trained experts run them.

But to be fair, our club is not in a mess. All that happened is we finished second from bottom and we deserved to. But next season promises better football, better results, new exciting players and less controversy among supporters.
