Bassong to Watford

I got a text from a Watford supporting mate earlier, this is exactly what he said to the word:

"Tell you what mate, I don't know why you've loaned us Bassong. Absolute madness on your club's behalf. He was absolutely immense today. Obviously now we've just leapfrogged you in the table, thanks in part to his imperious presence in our defence."

I asked him what exactly it was he did well, he said:

"All round, he was just superb. By all accounts he had a cracker of a debut. I would say he certainly tightened up our defence (obviously hard to judge on 1 match) but if he performs at the level he did today, he will be a superb and much needed quality addition to our squad."

Thanks for the update Din..........lets see if he continues like this........I guess he will at this level, as on form probably the best CB in this league......yep, great move by the club...oh sorry I appear to have been just a little critical again

Bassong played a part in several Premier League clean sheets last season. He was never as bad as people like to make out.

Any meagre chance we had of surviving, even with that run-in, was extinguished when he was dropped.

I don't really see the problem. He wasn't wanted here for whatever reason, so ship him out, which we have.   Couldn't care less who he goes to in this division. 

All that matters is that we win our matches. If we do, we will go up.  If we don't, any team from Watford to 0psw1ch could win it.   We just need to win our matches, let other teams fight it out amongst themselves.
