Best city keeper ?

Seems theres people have different ideas, as to who has been, or is the best goal keeper for city, on different sites, was just wondering what you think on here.

For me its Keven Keelan. As watched him for so many years.

I voted for Keelan..........but my favourite was/is Sandy Kennon.......I just loved the guy.

Declan Rudd is clearly the best keeper at the club and almost certainly in our history.

KK was the best uncapped goalkeeper ever. Prone to the odd blue but those who saw him at Old Trafford in 1967 will remember one of the great displays from any keeper.

Tough choice for me between Keelan and Chris Woods but I'll go for KK for his longevity and the punch that laid Tommy Robson out.

Oh yes, I forgot that one. Wasn't the only time he used his fists against flesh rather than leather.

I played a few games with Tommy. Despite being brought up in a rough part of Newcastle he reckoned that was the hardest he was ever hit!

When I first started going as a kid, Keelan looked amazing to me, but that was through a childs eyes, and then Chris Woods was exceptional. Gunny for his overall contribution too was a fine keeper and Ruddy is really taking some over the top criticism right now, but is in my view a great keeper...... and the game has moved on so much now, that my guess in reality he is probably the better keeper. BUT, judging them on what they had to deal with in their era, then Keelan just gets my vote....a proper legend.  Shame I starting following the team after Nethercott and Kennon.

We've been blessed with some fantastic keepers over the years. 

Woods, Green and Ruddy all England internationals, and Gunn was unlucky to play the game at the same time as Jim Leighton.

I don't feel qualified to vote in the poll though. From Gunn onwards I'd have to vote for him, he was universally respected by fans of all clubs as a top keeper and still people mention Bryan Gunn if you say you are a Norwich fan.

Keelan for me. He was so much a part of watching city during my teenage years. But whether he was technically better than others I'm not sure.

For me the order is Keelan, Woods, Green, Ruddy, Gunn, Marshall x2 of the main keepers I have seen,   the first three a level above the rest,  ruddy & gunn roughly level in a tier below and the rest a rung below.

For just a short while, as it would be unfair to compare, Fraser Forster looked like he could have joined that esteemed company. He definitely had the makings.

I would have gone for Gunn, Just for what he did off the field, and the lose of his daughter, but think KK was better than him. As a young lad, watching city every time, there were at home, thought KK was superman at times.

Remember you could bump into the keeper in them days, now you cant get within 2 foot of them .

Them was the days, you could always see KK ready for a fight.
