It's slowly creeping higher, would be great if we could hit that max amount!

Funny they don't have anything to say about it anymore...
I really don't think they should be looking for moral high ground when it comes to discussing finances, or fan loyalty.

You have to bear in mind Ginja, that they have difficulty in stringing more than two words together at any one time................;)

That's astonishing, so I assume some very wealthy people have banged in big money, £500k or £1m or something.

Does anybody know if pension funds can purchase these bonds? Because that would make sense.

If somebody purchased £1m worth what the hell are they going to do with all their "club credit", they'll run out of things to buy from the club shop.

£1m would be £30k a year in club credit.

Perhaps if they are philanthropic they could donate it to local schools to buy tickets for school trips or buy 500 shirts a year to send to Africa or something.

I'm currently being told that the board actively investing in this bond does not disprove the suggestion that the board are unwilling to invest in the club... really at a loss for words at this point.

Can't be bothered to read that place because that Til bloke annoys me, but I don't know how they could better meet the definition of "invest", presumably they think that the loans should be donations or interest free.... which is unreasonable and unrealistic.

You're missing the point. It doesn't count unless they're not getting a return or if it fails to fit the relentless anti club agenda.

They seem to think they shouldn't seek a return because the share price has gone up and they've already got their money back...

Oh and well done to Tom Smith, whose idea the whole bond thing was.

"The be fair they were always going to find 700 financially naive people who were daft enough to throw away their money"

I did shake my head at this post I must admit........................

I do bridle at people revelling in the fact that investors might lose money. I've seen one of two examples of it.

Regardless what your (my) views are on the club being negligent not to have invested themselves in this when they had the Premier League cash, it is a genuine great investment opportunity and that is an amazing response by City fans!
