Went to Silverstone for the first time since the Mansell era and the thing that struck me was how much quieter the new engines are. Even the GP2 cars were far louder. There's been a lot of media coverage in some quarters saying that this detracts from the experience but for my part on the day the racing was superb so the sound quality didn't really matter much.
