I have to say, I'm surprised that I'm the only person that has suggested Eddie Howe. I know that Bournemouth are doing better than us at the moment and he wouldn't necessarily want to leave that, but we have considerably more resources available to us than Bournemouth, a much better first team, and if we were to be promoted much more of a chance of staying in the Premier League than Bournemouth would. That's what you'd think anyway.

If Adams was sacked, he would easily be my first choice.

He did leave Burnley for personal reasons and I believe they were family ones. It might not be a matter of resources, it might just be as simple as location.

I'd like to believe that had we took decisive action at the right time December with Hughton. Then Mario Been would of been a great appointment. Attack minded football, rather than static defeatist dross. He learnt his trade off of Bert van Marwijk a man who knows how to win and has won plenty (and a world cup final loss to Spain 1-0 in extra time). Anyhow Been and Genk parted ways in febuary-march and he's without a club now still. Be brave european adventurers of the board, leave no stone unturned in bringing him safely back to the club. Let's get the grit and determination back that's vanished ,play high tempo exciting attacking football and with our good squad we've got a great chance of still doing this. How has our team gone from Tierney bombing up and down and the players and fans adoring the game to the highly mediocre displays we see now yet we've spent loads on improvements and on paper we've a vastly improved squad I think we can all pretty much agree on that.

As time passes everyone of these selections appeals to me.

I really am shocked how my views have changed over recent months........I would even say yes to Sherwood or Mackay, two names I was much against before we appointed Neil Adams.

I don't think we should settle on Sherwood just because he may not be as bad as Adams, we need to get this next appointment right. As for Mackay, completely the wrong time for him to get a job at this level, with feelings running so high regarding Ched Evans and Sheffield United. 

I really think that we should stop being so tight and go and steal an employed manager, just as we did with Lambert.

Still Uve Rosler for me. Not in the slightest put off by his set back at Wigan, if all managers were judged after one failure Swansea wouldnt have gone for Brendan Rodgers. Thought we should have gone for Rosler in the summer and now he is available.

I realise it is not really a question Mark. But let's face it we all know now that there will be no change before the Brighton game.
Disastrous performances aside I would expect NA to be at the helm for at least the next 4 games. Something must have gone on with Robson so I expect some time to be given to assess the impact of his removal.

Lennon is a funny one for me.

I didn't want him in the Summer. Then, when we appointed Adams, I was disappointed we hadn't (apparantly) even approached Lennon.

Then, when Bolton appointed him, I thought "...he'll sort them out".

So, deep down, I clearly did want him!

There are some decent Managers up in Scotland-its all about potential with them rather than proven ability, but we're going to struggle (Pulis an example) to get a Manager with proven ability onboard.

Jackie McNamara at Dundee United probably stands out. Paul Cook has done well at Chesterfield. But both a tad too left field for our board and the majority of fans if a choice had to be made soon.

Zola claims he was interviewed last time out. I reckon he'd be in with as good a chance as anyone-the players would certainly respond to him as a name and someone who has achieved a lot as a player but his managerial career is a bit hit and miss-mind you, so was a certain Paul Lamberts before he came here.

I'm surprised I have got so negative about the situation too.  I supported the decision to get Adams in - after an intitial "wtf" moment   (and I still think the timing of Hughton's departure was wrong)  and I enjoyed the fact that Gary Holt was going to help him.    Royle was an "extra" and Robson was relatively unknown, although he has some recognition as a coach and has managed a little himself at Barnet.    So what we are left with after Royle and Robson's departure is all that we should really need - a manager and an assistant, both coaches and both strong characters - well at least Holt is - I'm really not sure about Adams.......

So unless things improve pretty quickly, the clamour for Adam's removal will grow.  He has only one way to go - we improve now, or he will be gone in three or four games imo.

I wouldn't complain if the board took the decision now - he hasn't really shown he can organise the team to stop the soft goals and improve discilpine on the pitch.   Adams has to be strong and Holt has to live up to his Mr Motivator image.  I hope they are because even though some of the names mentioned now look a little more palatable, any replacement is going to have a tough job considering the expectations and pressure to bounce back up a division this season.

Some Brentford fans I know off a different forum said that his style of football was appalling. Despite the fact that on paper he had done a good job there when he left for Wigan, they were all very happy when he went, because they said the football was so bad. After sitting through the 'football' we played under Hughton for the last 2 years, I'd rather not go there again.

I'd rather stick with Adams than go with Rosler.
