Cardiff Dossier on Malky MacKay to the FA

I came on here to get away from this sort of thing.
Some people don't forget the vile things you say, and when you are then criticising others for it...

Pretty hard to bite my tongue on that one to be honest. But then how did you describe Japanese people like myself again? Or are you hoping you can just whitewash your own past like Mackay and Moody must be hoping they can also?

I wasn't going to bring it up, but to see you here being so hypocritical pushed me over the edge, must be my 'sadistic nature', or whatever disgusting thing it was you said about all Japanese people.

Yet again Bethnal I can only apologise to you for my past PU posts.

Can we keep the personal stuff over at the other place? Back to the topic, it's hard to believe Malky has such bad judgement that he would send the text messages and say the things that are being attributed to him. I wouldn't trust Vincent Tan to help an old lady across the road so will await the outcome of the FA inquiry before passing judgment.

Interestingly, the FA has set precedent for not investigating people over the content of private communications, but they'll probably still want to investigate him over the transfer allegations. The proof of the pudding with the texts and emails will be whether he launches libel proceedings against Cardiff.

Given he's just owned up to it all in an LMA statement, I dont think you need to wait any longer.

Off course to Malky, and the LMA, it was just some banter. Harmless bantz to let off some steam.

Not necessarily, IMO. Tan has his own agenda, I suspect. I'm willing to presume innocent until proven guilty, but I'm glad City are well out of it.

Does Tan OBVIOUSLY having an agenda make it any less relevant that Malky has sent (and has accepted sending) racist, homophobic and sexist texts? I'm wondering what exactly you're presuming Malky to be innocent of?

The sum total of the argument that Malky and the LMA have managed to come up with after a whole day seems to be "He did send sexist, homophobic and racist texts, but not many" Way to go!

From what I can gather the only text that the Daily Mail directly attributed to having been sent by Malky was the chinky one, and in the LMA statement he denies homophobia or sexism. I said as soon as the article was published that it was very cleverly worded to implicate Malky in more than he has been a part of, read it again.

Unfortunately for him, I suspect if he would have chosen any one of 'sexist', 'homophobic', and 'racist' to be labelled with, the last one he would have chosen is racist - so this still looks like career over Malky even if it has been sensationalised by the Daily Mail.

LMA statement here.

To be honest, if his version is true and it amounts to a couple of private texts to a close friend then I'm on his side. In a world where you've got groups wandering around rounding up people of different beliefs and systematically executing them, when I read this Daily Mail sensation about some derogatory comments in private text messages, I can't help but think, 'so what?' This is Tan's revenge and he's probably destroyed the blokes career by releasing a couple of private throwaways that were never intended for public consumption. I wouldn't be surprised if managers give Cardiff a wide berth in future, because nobody's that far on the side of the angels.

The LMA statement is a disgrace. Surely they must understand the seriousness of the allegations made against Malky. Instead of"If Malky has caused any offence by these two isolated matters he would, however, wish to sincerely apologise" they should have published an unreserved apology. No ifs no buts.

But even if we ignore the texts and emails completely, there remains the investigation into financial impropriety which I guess we will all hear more about in time.

If Moody and Malky have been conducting transfer deals for their own financial gain then that alone should be enough to ensure that they never get a job again.

Take the Cornelius transfer for example, Tan claims that he was on £6k a week at his former club and he was handed £45k a week at the age of 20. If that deal was concluded to make Moody and Mackay some cash, then they are effectively defrauding Tan and/or the club out of money. Malky then didn't even play Cornelius.

Cardiff fans on their messageboard are pretty much saying that Tan is vindicated and forgiven for sacking Malky and for their relegation, an amazing turnaround considering the ill feeling they had towards him. Some are even saying that if they can just have their blue kit back they would go as far as apologising.

A lot of Norwich fans were calling for Malky to get the Norwich job, including me. I wouldn't now want him anywhere near our club at any time in the future - he appears to be a spiv and a bigot.

I believe that what's come out so far is the tip of the iceberg. Tan isn't an idiot, he's a very hard headed businessman, he won't have done this as part of some petty vendetta. While I think its laudable that people adopt the principle of innocent until proven guilty I suspect that in the coming days there will be much more becoming public. If there's nothing in the more serious claims why did Moody immediately resign rather than tough it out? Why isn't Malky suing for libel? It smells worse than a rotten fish.

I don't think so, I think Tan has hit him with the full salvo when it will do the most damage: Right before he was about to get another job. In the statement, he's admitted to two instances and the Daily Mail cites five messages. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they've gone for character assassination in the media because they don't think the real meaty claims of transfer fiddling will hold water. Perhaps I'm wrong. Time will tell.

Not sure about a rotten fish but regrettably I agree that a lot more is going to emerge in this story.

I wonder if McNally had a heads up that something was brewing with Malky?

What a load of *bleep*. It doesn't matter if they're private text messages, what they demonstrate is important. It's not just a risque joke here and there, it's indefensible stuff.

Also, the comment about groups rounding up people and executing them - people are capable of holding 2 concurrent thoughts. People can think this is bad and ISIS are bad. Commenting about one doesn't mean ambivalence about another, a news story about one doesn't mean the other is ignored, and if you want to follow that train of thought to it's logical end, what's the point reporting on or talking about anything that isn't as serious as the most serious thing

*bleep* isn't a swearword.

Boll*cks isn't a swearword.
Subjective, but is easy to replace it with another word... like "what a load of rubbish", or "what a load of balls", or just "what a load of BS".
