One thing I can tell you is, I look out for Norwich's team every week to see if Hooper is starting. I'm glad when he's not because it gives me a glimmer of hope that he'll want to come home.
He played his best football when he played up front beside Stokes. They had an incredible understanding of how each other played which I don't think is an overstatement at all. When Hooper left I was gutted that football would probably never see 'Stooper' again.
When he was here, he was our main attacking outlet. It was a complete and utter myth that he was a 'penalty box striker' or a 'poacher'. He came deep, collected the ball from midfield and spread the play before bursting into the box again. His link up play was brilliant and he was a clinical finisher.
To be honest with you, I can't get my head around the fact he can't get a game for Norwich. I think a bit of that might be down to Jerome playing very well (I've only actually seen him play in the play off final where I thought he was quite good, but he has around a goal every other game which is very good for a player of his style.), but most of it will be down to the fact that the Hooper you have seen has just never hit the heights of when he was in green and white.
One of my biggest wishes for this transfer window is that Norwich deem him surplus, and we swoop in to bring him home.
Can't tell you much about Alex Neil other than I don't think Hamilton have managed to win a game since he left, and while he was there they were top of the league at one stage.
