That's a good analysis, RT, and IMO the 4-4-2 is a low percentage option against packed defences (which is why so few bigger teams use it). Jerome can also play on the left of a 4-2-3-1 and that's what I'd like to see against Wigan, with Redmond on the right and Howson behind Hooper. Then, depending on how the game goes, Lafferty could come on as Jerome tires, or Josh out wide if a 4-4-2 is needed.
