Cheers, always liked Spurs.... reckon its because we did very well out of your cast offs back in the day.

Ian Crook, Ian Culverhouse, Mark Bowen, and John Polston all came through at Spurs and then became essential parts of arguably our strongest ever team in the late 80's and early 90's (would have qualified for Europe 3 times instead of 1 time if Liverpool hadn't fucked it all up for British clubs at Heysel)..... a team which also included Ruel Fox, who you would later enjoy at White Heart Lane.

Later on we signed little Paul McVeigh from you for a pittance, and then Peter Crouch came on loan to reinact the hilarious little (really little) and large (really large) partnership that they had for your reserve team!

Plus you seem to have successfully built a stadium which won't suck the life and soul out of your club like at least one other London club has done recently

I lived in Norfolk for some years and have many happy memories of my time there and always look out for the Canaries results .

I remember when Norwich were a pretty average third division side, my club were more than a match for you but then you broke out and became decent !

At one stage you had a lot of Spurs rejects that were good on the ball .

Your exploits are nothing short of miraculous seeing as you are not a huge club.

I was living in Norfolk when you had your European campaign , what a season that was.

It gives us smaller provincial clubs hope .

It is a really odd thing, as I would like to think we are pretty inoffensive, on the whole. We have a quirkiness that I would have thought most other fans would find interesting. Yellow and green, Delia Smith, Stephen Fry, Let's be having you, Jeremy Goss and Bayern etc etc etc. We're not known for being violent or nasty, and I would like to think we are known for trying to play football the right way.

I think really it is just a bit of jealousy on the part of a lot of fans, because before the season started we had been effectively stripped of our prized assets in the Murphy's and Maddison, and had a massive budget hole to fill with the money. So I don't think anyone gave us much of a chance this season, and that includes some of our own fans. So our success has come as a real shock to all!

Saltiest fans seemed to be Leeds, Sheff U and Middlesboro, and of course, Ipswich.

Congrats at going up from Sittard. As Todd Cantwell said: 'two promotions in my first year as a professional footballer'. Glad to see the two decent teams getting promoted, instead of 'dirty Leeds'. Not sure I agree with the sentiments of the poster above, as I always have held a huge soft spot for the Blades and as for your club, well it plays in yellow and green. Can't be much wrong with that.
