Fans exercising their right to protest, is all I see. I'd draw the line at criminal damage or threats of violence, which I didn't see. The fans are paying customers remember, without fans there is no club. 

Andy, there was a dialogue on twitter involving Vital Norwich and @biggrantholt this week where people were discussing McNally's bonus last season. £1000 a day as a bonus to take his earnings above £1 million. In a relegation season? It is reminiscent of the government signing off a billion pound plus bonus package for RBS executives when the bank was on the brink of collapse. 

If we are paying out bonuses of several hundred thousand pounds and then going for the cheap option for football manager, a gamble which doesn't pay off, then it is natural that things like that are going to be called into question.

Ipswich Town are 2nd in the league today, and that hurts. Having seen what they had to offer at Portman Road earlier in the season, that shows just how terrible we've been over the past 10 or so games.

I'm fine with peaceful protest but angry mobs are totally unacceptable. I'm not comfortable with giving a bonus to the Chief Exec of any organisation that at the same time is laying off staff but there are better ways of expressing such concerns.

I don't see too many problems with it tbh. As CanaryBoy said, as long as there's no criminal damage or threatening behaviour then I think it's fine. Hopefully it makes McNally realise that he can't afford to do what he did with Hughton and leave it too late.

To be fair, as a group of fans we are a patient bunch and not really violent or aggressive.

It's disappointing to view, but only because it means me must be doing something really wrong to have our fans wound up!

In reality McNally and co in football will have and will in the future face much more angst and aggression than what happened tonight

Looks like the pitchfork brigade invasion that I was fearing has now arrived. It must be the end for Adams, because as soon as the anger is directed at a club's board and not the manager, they become the sacrificial lamb and get ditched.

I assume that McNally's bonus is a contractural one (part of his salary package) and not based on performance, as I don't see how relegation could attract any bonus. No matter what it is, it's really bad PR for the club and all this could have been managed better.

As for cheap option in Adams if the rumoured £30k pw are true that's hardly value for money

£1m for McNally also puts him well outside last seasons top 20 earners at the club and well below Adams pay Perspective.

I get the legitimacy of the grievance, I just don't think that shouting in the street at old ladies and children is the best way to express such concerns.

Removing him will be hard for our board because I think they will still want to do alright by him. It is hard to see how they can achieve that, so they are in a bit of a hole.

The McNally tweet indicates though that they accept action must be taken, although I suspect that the immediate action will be to observe whether the Phelan factor will have an effect.

No idea if the allegations are true but the person making them is @harto76 - he claims to have witnessed the incident.

To be honest, I should imagine McNally was taking dogs abuse from some people. If one of them was out of order, and he thumped them, then good on him.

Of course it can, just like speaking to some random bloke in the pub can but you need to take everything with a massive pinch of salt. Would McNally really be hanging around outside Roccos at midnight?

Mcnally does often go drinking up PoW after a game yes. I believe there's a few on here that were bought a drink by him in The Nelson for example.

And yes, definitely a pinch of salt required but I see no reason why this person would make it up.
