I thought that you register your 25, and then can't change that again until January?

So we've let go Andreu, Vadis, Van Wolfswinkel, and Johnson....

And we've signed nobody today?

This has crept up on me because I didn't realise the deadline closed at 6pm this year.  Did the club realise?!!

The deadline has passed, so unless we've sent a fax over at 17:59pm, then it looks like we've had a pathetic transfer deadline,

Dunno about that. Brady, Dorrans and Mulumbu will all be great. Just no natural cover down the left [if it finishes like this].

Can't really say losing 2 players that never play is weakening us.

all about having a sqaud though, suppose tettey, mulumbu and howson all pick up injuries, were left severely short for cover there now

So we've got one left back and one proper left winger, and the only change to the best XI in centre midfield is the arrival of Mulumbu who is injured.

Selling Bradley Johnson still feels like a bizarre / risky decision to me. He was our player of the season and scored 15 goals last season, and no doubt an important part of the dressing room.

Feels like a big loss to me. I mean, £6m is a very good price, but that's irrelevant if you aren't spending the proceeds. 

I'm deeply disappointed. Once again failed to sign a centre back, we've basically got two strikers unless the Grabban situation is resolved, and we've only got two left sided players in the entire squad.

I hope this Matt Jarvis rumour is true, that we are completing that transfer, that would make me feel a lot better about Johnson leaving. 

I'm shocked that we haven't brought another striker in though, and just furious that we haven't signed a centre back.

I just can't believe we'd sell Johnson without having another left sided player come in. Would appear that the rumour is Jarvis from West Ham.

My understanding is that the FA have to receive a completed 'deal sheet' by the deadline, which this year is 6pm, which are faxed over.

If they do this then the club gets a further two hours to complete the deal and fax over the rest of the documentation, which must be complete.

So there is literally 3 minutes left for us to tie up a transfer, if we've faxed over a 'deal sheet'.

Would have to be an eternal optimist to consider that likely, just looks like its not worked out for us. 

I feel deflated.
