Despite recent results, I think we will stay up.....you?

I just believe that we will "do a Leicester". It was yet another lesson Saturday,  and I believe with the new signings putting in a shift, that we will have enough to stay up, and won't let a game go again like that.

We certainly have enough to stay up, are the players gonna work hard & concentrate?

It's been said that at the top level, the difference is mental.

If we discount the extreme talents, those 50+ million pound players, the rest is all about what's happening between the ears.

We have seen games this season where the tactics are wrong and subsequently the tactics get changed.

We have also seen games where the players have been pitiful & just didn't turn up.

Then a display of defending like Saturday where scoring 4 goals doesn't win the game.

Can the players get it right between the ears?

Let's hope so

With current state it is all about luck. In my opinion we havent shoved anything special to say we deserve stay up. 

But normaly teams that can say that goes down, because they try something too difficult or risky.

It is hard to predict anything. I would want to believe we have that in us, but pessimistic finnish person in me says we are 18 at the end of season.

I think we've got a huge fight on our hands, we are in a real scrap and will be for the rest of the season.

my main worry is that we've played the majority of the bigger teams away, and most of the lesser teams at home, in terms of the top teams we've only played Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool at home (plus leicester but i doubt any of us would of called them at the start of the season), meaning the home games we need to take points from still include, Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs, so its going to be tough to pick up the 15 or so points we need to stay up, we really cant afford any slip ups against bottom half sides at carrow road now

Feeling optimistic but as others have said it could be tough.   We have to graft and earn it, and banish these too frequent no shows

It was also going to be tough and always likely to come down to the last couple weeks of the season at best.

I'm really not sure, I don't doubt our manager but the back half of the team is so frail, thats what will ultimately cost us relegation, if we do succumb.

It's hard to deny we are just about on course to survive. The worry is that other teams become more consistent after a first half of the season where points might come anywhere. I think the occasional horror show is inevitable this season. But that will be OK if we can actually win the games where we play well. It's the 'good performance but no points' games that have stopped us being safer than we are. 

I'm hopeful but nervous. If we can get back to the improvements at the back we saw over Xmas, and see some more of what Naismith can add to the attack, we should be OK.

I think Newcastle will pull themselves out of it. On paper, they've had a decent window. I think we'll pay the price for our failure to improve the defence over the summer.

im thinking that if the summer transfer window was so good for nufc, then something else must have gone horribly wrong.

If we sign Miles Jedinak, if those rumours are true, I will be in the yes camp for sure.  It would be nice if its true, who we have signed so far this window and him would mean we are actually addressing problems with our transfers for a change, a big improvement on recent times.
