Good to see! Reading reports, as unfortunately couldn't be at the match, surprised a few other players weren't mentioned, especially Leitner. I saw a stat saying that he had more touches than all of Boro's midfield three, put together!

Ian Henderson leading the line after his hat trick and Jason Shackell at the back!
Deserved by Zimmermann, think he should be nailed on to start now whenever we're playing with a high line and the opposition has a pacey striker that they try to play through on the break (although he's nailed on to start every game for 6 weeks anyway!).
Have to wonder whether Assomglonga would have got through 1 on 1 if we were playing Hanley and Klose, it really was an excellent performance by him.

Odd one as Zimmerman probably made more mistakes than anyone in our back 4. Not that I dont love the guy.

Won a couple of key duels with Britt A in that second half though and he's got some pace! Including that one where he tried to claim a foul, would have been through on goal.
If there is a 'key interception' metric somewhere that they consider then that may explain it.... obviously whoever picks the team doesn't watch every minute of every football league game, must be based on data analysis.

He's a classy little player, read some interesting interviews with him. He actually moved to the Manchester area after his partner got a job up there after his release from Colchester, unsure whether he wanted to play again.... then the Rochdale manager heard he was floating about and offered him the chance to train and it just clicked for him there.
Has turned down some offers to leave including Sheffield United a couple of years ago, respect to him for remembering the times he almost quit the game and staying where he was enjoying the game of chasing the payday. Is a Rochdale legend, now 3rd highest goalscorer in Rochdale's history and I think 1st isn't miles away....
