I did exactly the same thing YA until someone told me to watch it. It's not laugh out loud stuff, but I just think it's really well done.

Have to say, I'm loving the new series of Doctor Who. Stopped watching it half way through the Matt Smith episodes as it was just getting plain ridiculous, but the new series appear to have a bit more of a plot to them.

Can't believe no-one has mentioned Dexter yet!!! Easily the best show I've ever watched. Totally hooked on it but the end of season four was so heavy we waited 2 years before watching season 5 lol.
Nashville is a good watch. Hayden Panatierre (?) is super hot in it and it's just good fun.
Grimm is awesome. Modern Family is hilarious. Love Family Guy and the Cleveland show as well. If you haven't seem season 1 of beaver Falls, watch it. Funny. And the first 3 seasons of Misfits.
Have to say I wasn't so fussed with breaking bad. We watched season 1 and started season 2 and fell out of watching it. Didn't grip us. Have watched Game of Thrones yet. I love the fantasy genre of books and film never lives up to the books so avoided it. Might have to give it a go.

The bits I have caught of Dexter it has looked really good, but it's another one like, Grim, Game Of Thrones, True Blood, Supernatural and many other fantasy and supernatural series, if I sat down to watch it with her, god know what else I would then have to sit and watch

I love Dexter, but it'd rank much higher in my top ten if they didn't make a horrible hash of the last couple of seasons and in particular the god awful ending.

Have just been lent a box set of "Borgen" which is (apparently) Danish political drama with subtitles. May not be to all tastes but my West Wing love affair should see me right.
Does appear to be a marked shortage of even half decent TV at present though as a father of two young kids, I'm asleep on the sofa by 9pm regardless.

I think people have been too harsh with the ending. That shouldn't ruin 6 or 7 seasons of superb TV. The first 5 seasons were some of the best TV I've ever watched.

Just finished American Horror Story: Coven. I'm surprised they've managed to keep such a high standard across the three seasons. The fourth series "Freak Show" starts this month and I cannot wait. I've also had the 4th series of The Walking Dead delivered today so I'll be on that soon.

It's geek humor to be sure... I don't live and die by it every week, but it's good for mindless binge-watching...
