First Replica shirt you owned?

Simple thread. This was mine. Had 14 on the back (Ruel Fox) but as we were a selling club back then I played safe and had my own name on the back! What was yours?

Never understood why we've persisted so long with green away kits! We always seem to get trounced in them

89/92 home and away were my first kits! 

next was the away 92/94 which got stolen from my peg while i played a match ! (i live in Rugby so why would anyone do that) 

Turns out last year a friend from the same town who i regularly go to matches with now, tells me a story about nicking an away strip from a changing room while some poor kid was playing a match! 

for some reason i never said anything to him! i should they go for £100 + on ebay!

2003-2005 shirt was my first,

I haven't actually had any of the recent ones despite really liking the 11-12 home and 2 most recent away kits. The black/maroon one really grew on me.

My first was the 05/06 shirt, which my dad bought me especially for my first game, thinking he'd got me the latest kit, but as my first game was in the 06/07 season, it turns out it was actually the kit from the season before. Something that I seem to remember I made a big deal of pointing out to him when the teams came out

I  was given Mal Lucus, shirt by the man himself  just after he played his last game,  Yea it was too big for me,    it got so many washes and wears it started to fall apart, it is in tissue paper packed away in a vacum bag  up in my loft.   I have some of photos  on old film somewhere.  

First one I bought was  what has been called the Pidgeon *bleep* shirt  (above same as Mass Debater)  gave it to my son

Are we saying that we think the green Lotus away shirts aren't reproductions like the rest of them then?

The absence of the home shirt makes me think you may be correct on that one, but didn't the home shirts have Proton on them and this was why the away shirt was so popular at this time? 

Or could the club have reproduced those particular shirts because they are still pally with Lotus (didn't they announce a 5 year deal of some sort with us not too long ago?).

I think they are reproducing the old shirt designs. The chances of them still having all these shirts, in a full range of sizes, would be pretty slim. If you notice the birdpoo one doesn't have the Mitre badge on it. In fact, on closer look, none of them have any manufacturer logos on them.

They are definitely reproductions (because it says so, and if they were genuine they'd all be worth well over a hundred quid each).

I thought Suffolk Canary was saying that they'd thrown in the two green Lotus kits out of dusty old stock because those are £36 and ten years old. As you've just pointed out though there is no manufacturers logo on any of the shirts so those are also reproduction. 

I'm not sure if I like these shirts being reproduced or not really, I suppose it makes the club a few quid, and not everybody can afford to shell out £150 for an original on ebay.  Adidas still make really old school trainers from the 70's and 80's so guess its a similar thing.
