I believe Along come Norwich offered them the chance of an interview to dispel the myths and set the record straight.

No reply....

Lost me towards the end with this line I'm afraid: "How many of their number are happy to acknowledge that the incidences of death by terrorism now are as low as at any other time during the lifetime of any 45-year-old?".

Then a graph below went up to 2016.... the 39 deaths this year makes it the worst year since 2005 (London bombings), and actually it is already the 4th worse year in the life of any 24 year old. Most importantly, its on an upwards trajectory.

Security services have thwarted a lot of plots this year (think I read 12 which were in an advanced stage?), and the Director General of MI5 came out the other day and said we're facing the worst terror threat in 34 years.

The problem is very real, that shouldn't be the argument. The argument should be about whether self-professed "football lads" offer anything at all towards a solution, and I'd argue not.... I know a fair bit about one of the Norwich faces on that march and perhaps I'd take it all a bit more seriously if his multiple offspring had gone into the police or armed forces, instead of into prison and onto benefits. Perhaps their kids not wasting police and criminal justice system resources having to constantly process them for assault, criminal damage and theft and taking up prison cells at a time when the prison service is under a lot of pressure would be a good start?

Just knowing a few of those faces prejudices my opinion somewhat.

I don't think the army veterans should have affiliated with them personally, would have had more credibility if they'd been able to put together 5,000 bonafide veterans and marched independently.

By the way, guess which fans let them all down by kicking off? Something which even Millwall managed to avoid?

Leeds of course!

Well exactly. Will ISIS have their heads in their hands saying " wow this terrorism thing seems really unpopular with folks, we need to rethink our PR strategy". Will MI5 be saying " wait, theres terrorism going on, I didn't get that memo".

Will representatives of the FLA be meeting terrorist organisations to conduct peace negotiations?

I will say one thing.... Football Lads aren't the answer, but neither is Diane Abbott.

The above comment looks really bad sitting beneath Splutcho's!

I was referring of course to her attitude towards the security services and her opposition to the prevent strategy but without having put forward any alternative ideas (if Labour win she would be in charge of the security services).

I actually like Diane Abbott. Not in a position of great power but she's a very well educated, very intelligent woman that does the best for her constituents. She's been pretty unfairly targeted in the last year with right wing papers slaying her for mistakes that her Tory counterparts have also been making constantly. She's far from perfect and clearly gets flustered under pressure, but I think in general she has a good heart and good intentions.

I've always heard that she is an excellent consistency MP, and that's fair enough and a matter for her constituents, but I'd be pretty terrified of the prospect of her being home secretary to be honest. I suppose if Corbyn wins in the future (looking inevitable at the minute) then he'd just have a reshuffle (and a Labour victory would mean a lot more Corbynite MP's anyway).

I really wish she wasn't given such a high position under Corbyn to be honest. As a Labour voter I'm not even convinced with him, but I'm just so gobsmacked at the Conservatives inadequacy for the last few years I can only bring myself to vote for the opposition.

I'm not sure who Theresa May is supposed to represent at the minute, remainers don't like her and leavers don't like her, she doesn't seem to be popular within her own party,

I think she's only in the job because the more electable Tory's don't want to touch that role with a barge pole until it becomes clearer whether we've got a chance of retaining single market access or not.... nobody wants to the guy who deals with the sh*tstorm which will probably happen if we get the hardest of Brexits. I bet Corbyn is even secretly pleased he didn't win in 2017.

Things will be extremely interesting if its Jacob Ree-Mogg vs Jeremy Corbyn though, will be real battle of left vs right like the 80's.... a war of ideology. Haven't had that since Thatcher vs Foot.

I've read through the thread, and find deeply depressing. The total ignorance shown is breathtaking.

To understand the rationale for the likes of FLA, EDL, etc is to understand Islam and it's ideology.

It's not just extremism that is a major concern. I would suggest anyone one from the left read the Quran, Hadith and Suri.

Only then can you have an opinion.

But the far-left/left need to stop shouting 'racist' because Islam and Muslim are not a race, and 'other POWER words that make them feel in control. Educate yourself beyond main stream media.

Islam is political, it's a totalitarian ideology which is why many lefties appease it, but there is nothing positive said about the Kafir (non-believer). Allah hates Kafirs and plots against them.

Islam is not a religion, but a complete civilization. Islam has a position or rule for every aspect of life. It is a religion, culture and political system, a complete way of life. If Islam were only a religion, it would be of no concern.

Do you know what's happening in Sweden? And other European countries with 'open borders'. Sweden has literally fallen. No joke.

In the end, Political Islam will not tolerate opposition.

(Hadith) Muslim 001, 0031 Mohammed: “I have been ordered to wage war against mankind until they accept that there is no god but Allah and that they believe I am His prophetand accept all revelations spoken through me. …

Bukhari 4, 52, 196 Mohammed: “I have been directed to fight the Kafirs until every one of them admits, ‘There is only one god and that is Allah.’

Koran 2:193 Fight them [Kafirs] until there is no more discord and the religion of Allah reigns absolute , …

John Meighan can hardly string a sentence together so he isn't going to lead a revolution,

Sweden has not "literally fallen", you must be using Rebel Media as your primary news source. Even they only claim it is Malmo with a problem don't they? Rather than the entire nation of Sweden?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born in Malmo to a Muslim immigrant father, presumably no Manchester United fans on your marches then?

Malmo is actually no more Muslim than Leicester, Birmingham, or Bradford if we're talking pure numbers / percentages here.

You've started a sentence with the the words "Islam is not a religion" and then begun the next sentence with the words "It is a religion". Make your mind up!

I would take Meighan more seriously if he hadn't publicly invited National Front members to join his group. They share a lot in common with Islamist's, e.g. a hatred of Jews.

I'd happily listen to and read Douglas Murray, but not a coked up letting agent with a conviction for violence. Thanks.

And make sure you read the bible too, some pretty backwards stuff in that book. Admittedly not as many calls to violence, but some of the 666 sins are ludicrous and Christianity was also totalitarian before it died out. It is a sin to love this world, for example.

Canaryboy basically summed it up so I won't dignify that rubbish with a response.
