Newcastle are going to have horrendous problems if (when) they go down. Nearly all of their signings were brought in on 5 year contracts.

Morty is spot on though, this hasn't happened overnight, it's years of mismanagement from owners with no real concept of how the game works in the modern era.

Absolute shoe in for captain, in my opinion. We had a discussion in the pub after, the topic being "Can you remember a better centre back that has played for Norwich?" and it was only the ones with good memories who could.

Absolutely outstanding on Saturday.

Timmy hasn't been a captain anywhere, while both O'Neil + Howson have been Captain's at pevious clubs.

As good as he is, I'd be happy with either the two midfielders rather than Klose.

Dion Dublin was pretty good , he played defense sometimes.

I don't disagree on either of them, Howson was Leeds' youngest ever captain. I base my opinion on what I have seen of Klose so far, he would be the first name on my team sheet every week. And whilst Howson and Oneil are both in good form just now, this hasn't been the case over the course of the season. With Oneil only really getting his chance due to Tettey being injured.

But, truth be told, any of them would be good.

At least they have 3 or 4 players that they'd be able to sell quite easily to try and balance the books, I think Villa could be the club stuck with some serious deadwood. 

I can't think of a single Villa player that I'd want to see in a yellow shirt next season. 

I wouldn't say no to Wijnaldum and Mitrovic has a lot of potential (he's 21). Krul probably has his admirers.

Jordan Ayew always looks a little bit too good for Villa, but that doesn't say much.

I like Wijnaldum seems he has a lot of talent, but from what I was reading on a NUFC forum the other night, he may as well not bother traveling for away games, not effort and no impact away from st. james, and I can't say I particuarly noticed him at the weekend doing much, not what you need in a relegation battle, where as Mitrovic on the other hand seems to give 110% every game and wears his heart on his sleeve, sometimes gets a bit carried away and gets bookings he need not get, but thats the sort of player you do need in their situation, crazy to think that it was wijnaldum that gets the nod to start ahead of mitrovic

Wijnaldum absolutely destroyed us earlier in the season, but perhaps has a bit of Leroy Fer about him (9/10 one week then anonymous for the next two weeks). Something about these fancy Dutch players isn't there!

Our Wesley has same tendency to disappear and so does Özil and David Silva. It is just part of being creative player. Sometimes opponent shuts you down or own tactics doesnt work enought to keep you on the ball.

Wijnaldum is playmaker who has ability to score and Hoolahoops doesnt get any younger and neither does Naismith. If we somehow get chance to sign him with right price and his wage fit out standards I think we shouldn't miss that chance.

Ask any Toon fan and they'll tell you that Wijnaldum has a heart the size of a pea and is anonymous away from home. Wouldn't want him anywhere near Norwich. Would take Mitrovic in a heartbeat though.

I think Villa will struggle to get back up as well, unless something drastically changes. As you said, some serious deadwood in there. Sunderalnd would have the best prospects to bounce back IMO, if they keep Big Sam, he's done it before.
