To be fair I think the main reason for the rumours about him prefering the company of men is his voice and the way he talks. My non-Norwich supporting mates were quick to endorse that theory the first time they heard him speak.

To be fair his family might have stayed back in Germany. I have wondered before though if there is a Mrs Farke and Farke jr I have to admit.

Not all fit girls are shallow and incapable of love and loyalty Hogesar, you are too cynical Plus Leitner is a good looking chap!

They have been together since he was 17 and playing at 1860 Munich so reckon they'll be alright (looks like they are still together by the way!).

That's the smart thing to do if you are planning to be a footballer isn't it..... get the best missus you can before you are making bank and stick with that one. Otherwise constant paranoia about whether your bird is a gold digger who will ditch you for the 50/50 split a year after you hang up your boots.

Always had respect for Steve McManaman actually for dating a first year law student at 18 and marrying her.... she went on to become a barrister and law lecturer and unless he has been as smart as Robbie Fowler with his money it will probably be the case at some point that her career earnings will overtake his, based on a retirement age of say 60 or 65.

Thick footballers waste their money exchanging designer handbags and ludicrously priced champagne for sex and getting people like Danielle Lloyd pregnant, but not all footballers are mugs.

I read an article in the German press from when he was at Dortmund, possibly Lippstadt, about three years back or so. He’s got two young kids, they were about 2 and 5 then. I assume they are still over in Germany as the article mentioned him being away from his family even then (sorry I can’t link as I am on an iPhone on hols in Germany with poor internet!) But no matter what his sexual status currently is, (and having a degree in economics doesn’t have to make you gay...!) I’ve met him a few times and he’s a charmer
