point taken, we've been awful all season and I don't know how we are where we are. I still think you'll be safe though. what's your run in like?

Well our last three games are Arsenal (A), Man Utd (H), Everton (A), so we need to be safe by then, the problem we have is we don't look like getting anything on the road so virtually no points coming from away games, so we need to be winning our home games, we have Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Sunderland, Waford and Man Utd to play here, we probably need to win at least 4 of those, right now we dont look like being able to win one of them though

Probably 6 teams in it, one pretty much guaranteed a spot in the bottom 3 (Villa).

So who do you think will take the other two spots out of Sunderland, Newcastle, Norwich, Swansea and Bournemouth? 

We are clearly in the worst form of the five.

this far in we are not going to tighten up defensively.    we have tried every combination of the defenders and pushed the midfield 4 so deep that the strikers needed binoculars to see where the ball was coming from and still we concede more than 2 goals a game.    We will remain vulnerable to pace down the left (the overloading when moses came on, his pace was key),  dozy defending at set pieces and to late midfield arrivals.

The some good signs - bassong and klose are starting to connect and to look like our best CB partnership (not great but the best we have, yes bassong IS the better option and way ahead of bennett).    The full backs & lack of tracking of midfield runners when tettey is not starting is not going to be solved before the summer; as such we have to accept this and hope that we can pick up points by outscoring our opponents.   

That will mean more results like saturday.     However galling it was to see the same defensive frailties again at least the selection and tactics gave us a chance of winning - something we have only had v liverpool in the last 8 games. 

Against lesser teams than west ham (who remain a top 8 side) we will pick up points and against the better sides we can hope for another arsenal / man u - we can only hope we get enough of them.

Sorry for the delay boss, The 2 important games are both Sunderland and Newcastle. Also you have an away game against us. We are running Hot and Cold win these three games all of which are winnable. 32pts plus a gap. You're capable of doing it you held Leicester until the very end. There are always upsets in the other games. Last season we had the run-in from hell. Playing 4 of the top 6. We had 3 wins and 2 draws, turned our season around

What a cheerful Baggie you are, 192. I tend to agree with you. I'm a hopeless case, expecting us to win 2-1 every game. When I stop feeling optimistic, I'll find another way expend my surplice energy. And the more pundits predict our relegation, the more obstinately positive I become.

After 15 months of Pulis I ready to stick pins in my eyes when it comes to footy Thing is, you Have to beat Swansea as long as they're in touching distance I fancy your chances because of their run-in. I think  Pulis will play for a draws against Leicester and Man Utd. The following two games are Arsenal then you with a bit of luck we'll have hit 40pts before you visit (Arsenal is one of those games, either we get hammered or win)

I think playing for a draw against Leicester is actually the best way to beat them.  What we saw on Saturday was that many parts of their team are not that great, but if you over-commit to attack, they will murder you on the break.  I'd back a Pulis-managed team to have the best chance of beating them.  It probably wouldn't be pretty to watch but effective.
