The only reason people like the Championship is because we should win every game with the squad available.  Go back 7-8 years under Rodent when we were fighting relegation to League 1 and the squad we had then it was dire.  I would take the Prem every single time and if you don't want Norwich in it then what are you doing supporting them?

I would love us to be a Stoke for example, stable club gonna finish 8-13 every season have a good cup run and maybe get to a final.  That's what we need to be an established club in the Prem for a few years increase the capacity of Carrow Road to 35-40k which we would easily fill then see if we can do a West Ham or Southampton and push for European football.

There is no reason by 2020 if we have been in the Prem 3-4 season that we can't do that.

Or we could just stay in the Championship for them seasons and then see where we are, lost all the players we have now, bottom half of the league again that's where.

Completely agree Paul. 

We enjoy the Championship when we've got £22m in parachute payments for each of the first two years and have the luxury of always having a quality striker on the bench. 

I doubt we'd enjoy it if the striker on your bench is Simon Church (just picked a random mid-table Championship team). 

If we fail to get up we've at least got on more season of being able to hold together a quality squad and a very good manager who would give us a serious chance again next season, with maybe one or two player sales. After that it all goes downhill very fast and we'll risk being stuck here for years.

LOL yeah actually I think I was narked by the WBA fan being all condescending and just wanted to remind him they'll probably be relegated before too long.

And I'd defo want us to win the playoffs now.  Last year in the Prem was dire but the years before were great, and there have been some real low spots this season. The Champ is great as long as you don't get stuck here.

Mind you I can remember losing 5-1 at WBA in Div 1 in the late 90s - given the choice between losing 5-1 at WBA in the 2nd tier or 5-1 at Anfield, I know which I'd rather chose.

Overall I think what was depressing about Hughton was setting out to defend a point in most games and not really changing when we went 1-0 down.  If/when we get back up, I hope AN won't adopt that approach.
