Chris Martin. He reminds me of Holt when Holt was good. And I'm being completely honest, I'd like him as the Norwich #9.

I'll say Elliott Bennett then, we seem to need a bit of help down the sides, he could play right and Redmond would move over to the left. Benno is also decent defensively too.

Bassong. We can score goals but we can also let them in. We need some leadership at the back and in the championship he'd be a rock and get our back 4 disciplined,

I think getting Bassong & E.Bennett back from loans, getting Hooper back in the starting eleven and we will be a much better side.

I think a player we could do with at the minute is Pilkington, a winger who can play either flank as hes two footed and a player who was dangerous from direct free kicks and a player who every now and again popped up with a goal. And we badly need a winger to play down the left.

Cant believe we didint replace Snoddy and Pilks. We attempted to replace Pilkington with a centre forward we hoped would work on the left wing.

I'd have Snoddy back in a heart beat. Offers everything really. Goals, a great delivery, tireless work rate, and I see no reason why he couldn't be played on the left. 

Still, can't really complain about getting £8m for him.

How about Jason Shackell. Would now have shrugged of that come through the ranks genuflect to the senior players attitude and been our skipper and solid at the heart of our defence.

Holt.  Without question.  More important than Lambert for Norwich imo.  That fourth year that he stayed probably kept us up.  Still has the power to inspire - ask Huddersfield. We needed him last season and we definitely needed him this season.

For me its less a player,  more an attitude - want Dave Watsons, Malky, Butterworths organisation and leadership instilled into one of our centre backs please. 

We are rudderless on the pitch,   when tettey seems to be the most vocal of the 11 on the pitch in motivating and and driving players forward we have a problem.    The other 10 all have to stand up;  especially the senior lads (Turner, Ruddy) and those who have previously been captains. 

When we got promoted before we had drury, holt, ruddy, martin, crofts, wes, ward all leading, cajoling, working to one purpose.   We now have a team of tired quiet men!

I agree about the lack of leadership. Sometimes in a sporting context, you can carry someone who has less ability if they are more than making up for it in a different area.

I always think of Mike Brearley in 1981. Or even our own club in 1972 with Trevor Hockey. That someone who can inspire others to make up for their shortfall and make the sum of the parts even bigger. Several managers have brought players in because they add something to the team and the dressing room that isn't in the coaching manual.

I do chuckle a bit at the obligatory pre match huddle. What has been missed in the dressing room? Is it last minute "c'mon lads"? It isn't working whatever is said or done. And was Martin chosen because he has been here the longest (don't even consider Wes) so has seniority?
