I like Neil, I think everyone likes Neil, but "like" doesn't put wins on the table.
This is our very, very best chance of being promoted back to the Premiership, its literally being handed to the manager on a gold platter. He has a good squad, money to spend and a massive group of loyal fans. If we blow it this season, it becomes ten times harder next season, as the better players have their head turned, and our board (quite rightly) tighten the purse strings, and before we know it league one is beckoning again.
And we can all see it slipping away, before our very eyes. I'm sorry but if our team has no heart or spirit, its one man's job to rectify that. If I'm honest we could probably do with a hard nosed bastard, that we don't particularly like right now, instead of nice Neil who just wants to be everybodies friend. We don't have the time to train up a potentially good manager, and it isn't acting like a spoiled child demanding success this season, its about recognising the fact that this is our very best chance, and we don't want to blow it.
I think the board will be formulating a plan right now, and a lot of it will hinge on the result of the next game.
