Ipswich Game Moved - Beside Myself!

Just seen that the game has been moved till Sunday. When I have a family event to attend - ironically in Pakefield.

It was all working out so well. Game on Saturday, family do on Sunday, stop up for a few more days to take in the Wigan game. OK the only bit that has gone is THAT game on Saturday but I am beside myself with annoyance.

I have tried telling myself that it is just a game of football.... but it is not doing the trick. Any other ideas?

No suggestions here, other than cancel the family event.

What you may have to do is fake an illness as a cover for missing the family event. Pick something simple to replicate like man-flu. Steer clear of the trickier Ebola or Bubonic plague.

Miracle recovery about Sunday teatime. Job done.

It seems a harsh decision for us all round when we have another key game two days later against a team with an extra day to recover. McNally get on the case!

Works for me... the first leg of the Derby was a 6:15 AM kickoff... this one is a couple hours later.

I would assume if it isn't the Polices doing, its something to do with Sky.

It is Sky. Being televised.

So it's a hard derby, then just over 48hours later another important 3 points to fight for. Let's hope we have the squad in depth all fit, and nobody sees red against the binners.

Any chance of having Sky on in the background during the family event, Sussex? My sympathies as similar conflicts have happened for me in the past. Not good for marital harmony!

I hate it when our home games are on sky. I sit 2 rows from the front, and there is always some bloke with a camera right in front of me, partly blocking my view of the pitch.

Don't know the circumstances mate, but sometimes you just have to realise that football games do take preference over everything else.

I got married on 13 January 1973 and City drew Leeds, best side then, in the FA Cup. I told my wife to be that if we drew, we were breaking into the honeymoon in London and popping up to Yorkshire for the replay. Didn't miss many games away then let alone at home. What else could she do? 1-1 at Elland Road and they beat us 5-0 in the third game.

Can not blame my wife. It's my side of the family and I am the one feeling the obligation to go. I just want to go to both. My wife who is a big football supporter herself has the left the call to me. In fact she would probably rather be at the game!

I am hoping against hope the game might get moved again like the Bolton fixture. However I suspect the police would much rather the fixture was played early on a Sunday afternoon than a Saturday evening. Saturday lunchtime might work though.

Yellow Fever you have given me a thought though. Skygo could be the solution, just not the same as being there.
