Is there a role for Lafferty this season?

Gives us a back up third striker if Hooper is injured as he currently is...unlikely to feature much but imagine AN is happy to have him as an option

I expect to see either one of Hooper or Lafferty leave on loan to the Championship to be honest, now that Grabban has apologised, we don't need 5 strikers. 

Considering Alex Neil sent Lafferty packing pretty much as soon as he arrived, and utilised Hooper, the smart money would perhaps be on Lafferty out on loan?

Surely the clue is that he didn't go to Rotherham. If he was in the picture at all he would have been in that squad.  

He wasn't in contention for that game due to his knee injury, had only returned to training the day before.
