Jacob Murphy: Blackpool sign Norwich City winger on loan

 
Blackpool have signed Norwich City winger Jacob Murphy on a three-month loan deal until 2 February.
 
Murphy, whose identical twin brother Josh also plays for the Canaries, is Lee Clark's first signing since he took charge at Bloomfield Road.
 
The 19-year-old has previously had loan spells in the Football League at Swindon and Southend.
 
The England Under-20 international is available for the Seasiders' trip to Fulham on Wednesday.
 
"Jacob's very versatile in the front part of the pitch," Clark, whose side are bottom of the Championship, told the club website. 
 
"He can play on the left, right, in off the striker or as a second striker. He's got an abundance of pace and great attacking ability."

Great move for him, to get him some games at this level.

Needs game time in the Championship and he's probably not going to get that a Norwich, so this deal suits both us and the player.

Good opportunity for him. He is very much under the shadow of Josh, and well down the pecking order at CR.

In terms of current development, he is probably behind Josh, and he may lack some of his brother's abilities. He can pick out a long pass, however, and if he receives help, and more importantly game time, he could return to us a better player. So we, Jacob and Blackpool could all gain from the arrangement.

Not sure how big Blackpool's squad is these days but I'd be concerned if he wasnt playing. Dont see how he will benefit from warming Blackpools bench and perhaps he'd be better off in a lower league. However, if he is going to get games or a fair crack of the whip then this is a fantastic opportunity. Lee Clark seems enthused about his signing so lets hope he's going to use him.

I can't see him being a regular starter for any championship side, even Blackpool.  They do actually have a few quality players. But he should get regular appearances off the bench and it cup games, so i reckon it'll be a beneficial experience for him
