Which winger is leaving ? ?

Josh Murphy I hope. 

But could potentially be Yanic Wildschut, hasn't really worked out for him in England has it and Farke doesn't seem to rate him... I bet he's tempted to just go back to the Eredivisie where he'd do really well, like Van Wolfswinkel. He's was highly thought of in Holland and won a lot of U21 caps. 

Shame because I quite like him and his attitude.

Din... I told everybody when we signed him that Watkins had mostly played up front for Barnsley in a front two with Winnall. A successful little partnership that was, but Watkins was the deeper of the two so basically a number 10. 

Everybody was talking about him as a winger, but even Barnsley preferred not to use him there. 

So not a Championship winger, plus not a lone striker. Does make you wonder whether our thinking is always as 'joined up' under Webber as people like to think it is / hope it is, because he's a square peg for a round hole in our current system. 

Could be on low money though I suppose.... £5k a week for a backup utility player or something? Barnsley's highest earner was on £5k a week last season, so could just have been seen as a player to add a bit of depth instead of somebody to push for a regular starting spot. A bit like when Nigel Worthington signed Paul Heckingbottom actually! Think he played in about 5 different positions in his 15 games for us.

Wolves interested in Trybull! Apparently.

Wouldn't surprise me, think its pretty obvious we would have offered him a deal at some stage which he hasn't been in a rush to sign.

Yeah I do remember you saying that. And to be fair first couple of games of the season Farke played him as a second striker in behind Jerome, but he wasn't very good there either (missed 2 or 3 clear chances against Fulham on the opening day). He works hard and he's had the odd good game, but to be honest even as a free transfer I expected a fair bit better.

That'd be perfect. Think they're both moves that suit everyone involved. Doubt they'd both be perminant though, if either of them are.

Well Russell Martin is more likely to be permanent than Naismith isn't it, because the latter probably on about 250% more money. 

That said, Naismith would instantly go up in my estimations (and the estimations of Rangers fans after he walked on a freebie) if he did actually take a substantial pay cut in order to play regular football. 

He is apparently really good friends with Graham Dorrans also (has been for many years before joining us). Presumably joining up with Dorrans, plus Martin and Whittaker was a big part of the reason he came here in the first place.

I see that Rangers haven't learn their lesson though, were on the right track with Warburton signing talented youngers from England who he could turn into good players to last 5 or even 10 years, now they've reverted back to paying big money to 30 year olds. Might give them a short term buzz to sign Naismith back, but not going to help them catch Celtic is it?

As for Russ and hopefully naismith that seems like a sound move for all cocnerned.   Russ' wages are not the biggest (c £20k pw currently I understand) but at this stage of he should want to keep playing.   With Franke already departed that seems to mean we wont see 3 at the back again this season but may mean raggett does stay once he returns in jan after all - as we may then have a thin squad.

If there's anyone who I feel we can make pay over the odds for him it'd be Wolves. They only have 1 regular striker, have loads of money for a Championship club, are looking to secure the league title, and have been interested in him for ages (he has the same agent that seals a lot of Wolves deals, and a large part of their squad is Portuguese like him). So I think if we're clever we can get £10m-12m for him.
