How long until the window shuts ? ?

Surely we would only sell in January for a ridiculous fee north of 15m. As there will still be interest in the summer for the likes of Pritchard. 

Itd be nice to show at least in January that we are showing a little ambition and resilience. The summer is going to be hard enough having already confessed the need to sell then. Going to be difficult to attract talent to a team that is selling all its best players.

I would have thought so. Though easier to attract people if you have 15 million in your back pocket....

It feels to me that we will determine outcomes this January, so no one will be leaving on the cheap. And I have every faith that if someone makes us an offer we can't refuse, we have players already scouted.

I'm going to be gutted if we lose either one of Maddison or Pritchard.

In an ideal utopian world we'd sell Olivieira, Jerome, Josh Murphy, replace all three with cheaper players + use some of the fee to pay off Naismith, Jarvis and McGovern. Release Hoolahan in the summer.... sell Klose replace with Raggatt, release Tettey.

Surely something like that could leave us being able to afford the wages of Pritchard and Maddison?  

I suspect the reason we are really under pressure to sell one is to use the fee for wriggle room and to pay off a few people like Jarvis and Naismith, but in an ideal world we'd be able to do this with fees from elsewhere? Oliviera and Murphy perhaps the obvious two? 

I can dream!

We have no idea how much money we are still liable for in the Pritchard transfer do we, we heard that a lot of transfers have add-ons... he looks like a good candidate to have big fees owed when he's made X appearances etc, may influence things a bit. E.g. £1.5m after 50 league appearances would be a kicker.

I think it is inevitable that either or both of Pritchard and Maddison will go either in this window, or more likely in the summer, so would hope there is a master plan behind it all. I think we may just have to bite the bullet with Jarvis, but I do hope that some of his wages are covered by some kind of insurance? Webber strikes me as a smart cookie, so I feel more confident than in recent years that we will make this happen under our terms.

Aye, Remi will be number one next season I reckon.

I mean, Rudd's probably an average Championship keeper but that's more than McGovern has shown. 

And it would bring down the average age of the squad. 

Rudd + McGovern stuck in limbo, McGovern liked by Alex Neil and Farke would probably prefer a player who is still young for a keeper?

I don't think that McGovern is really particularly marketable. Older number 2 keepers are ten a penny. Not a bad idea mind.

He was injured for the start of the season, but no.... hasn't played in the league. 

He did say he wanted to leave for first team football, so coming back here might not be his preference... but number 2 here better than number 2 at Preston, especially if your family are still here. 

Being a number 2 doesn't mean you won't get a run in the team, especially when the number 1 is still young so can lose form. I think he could give Remi Matthews a good run for his money, would be good having two young keepers fighting for the shirt. 

Jed Steer may be another option though!  

Obviously a keeper doesn't have to be a former player to qualify, but both decent keepers and would be good to have a bit of competition in that position. I don't want to see McGovern start for us again.

Torquay have extended the loan of Michee Efete until the end of the season. He is out of contract then, so don't really expect to see him back here.

Full Contact have been pushing young players in Norwich's direction since he set up the business but there was never any bites. Don't think we've missed out on anyone significant. They did deal with Holt's move to Wigan though, think they're slowly being taken seriously by the footballing world.

Its interesting, if you read the Pinkun article, that it is considered within the game, that we are a club who is always willing to give a youngster a chance, that's exactly the reputation we want to have.

They also gave Grant Holt's phone number to a school kid who did a crap Sean Dyche impression.

Their client book looks like a lot of hard work for 5%/10% of not much....

Che Adams is probably the only one sending £500 a week their way. 

Must be really difficult though to just get that one big player who can then attract other talent.... a handful of super agents control a huge proportion of the best players in Europe. If you could sign just one player who is big on FIFA.... even just a Redmond or something, it must then become so much easier to hoover up talent. 

Its probably a hell of a lot of work just to get where they are with a load of League Two players, but it must be so tempting for them to just say "because your crap mate" when one of their League Two players phones them up moaning about their lack of offers  :lol:
