To be fair if someone buys Jerome for 2m now theyre not getting quite the same player weve had. Although maybe a move is what he needs. 

Id like to see us actually bring someone in because the squad is stupidly thin at the moment. Im all for selling Oliviera but we need another CF in first. Which isnt unreasonable considering the Pritchard sale.

GJP mentions you dont get Jerome bullying a defence anymore and he is right to an extent but jesus christ, opposition defences against Oliviera just have to make token effort challenges to get the ball of him, and in the air dont even need to concern themselves. Even with the ball on the deck hes just trying stupid low percentage flicks whenever an opportunity arises. Oh, and he seems to have lost his finishing boots too.

Luckily with both players, especially if the reported bids are correct, no one is paying attention to current form! I love Cam, but for years he has had this mystique about him, if you mention his name to a neutral who doesn't really watch him they have a very high opinion of him, whereas if you really looked at his stats you may think slightly different about him. Its like he is "a name". Lol he will go somewhere and fans will think he is doing great for a while then eventually go "Actually, hang on a minute...." I think he is a great squad player, but we can't afford to pay him as much as he is on just to play bit parts. 

I was told, quite a while ago that we would be willing to listen to offers on Cam and Oliviera this window, so I would assume we have targets in place.

Sky reporting that Russel Martin will have a medical at Rangers tomorrow ahead of a loan move.

I thought he was out of contract this summer, but he is contracted until June 2019 with an option of another year.

Yet been told he will never play for us again. Weird....

Been told he won't play for Farke again.

He got a contract extension last summer. I would guess the club were giving him that contract regardless. Doubt it was Webber or Farke's idea.

Kinda got the feeling that Jerome wanted to leave in the summer to be honest. 

Probably just for one last signing on fee and to steal another year on contract, like all players seem to try and do when they realise they are nearing the end of their usefulness in the top 1.5 divisions. 

I do however think that Jerome is largely a victim of a change in the way we play football, with loss of a yard of pace a secondary issue.... he's a good player in a side which gets the ball in the final third a lot, which we don't.

Naismith and Martin are just well past their best, don't think it matters what system we play with those two... both too slow on and off the ball, and Martin has not quite got the concentration levels required to play centre back even if he was still 27.

Wouldn't surprise me if Martin has tried to turn teammates against the coaching staff or something, when luck was against us that's the danger of allowing certain players to develop too much influence. I've never really liked the bloke to be honest and don't like the idea of these "jobs for the boys" deals.... would rather we found Huckerby a new BS role like we did Neil Adams if we've got some sort of Delia's favourites quota to meet. 

Was a half decent right back for us for 2.5 possibly 3.5 years.... and that's how long he should have been here. 

Still, I doubt we are contractually obliged to give him a coaching role so perhaps that was promised to him to help defuse the rebellion that he possibly helped to lead? 

He got loads of credit for that Talk Norwich City interview he did, but it actually made me dislike him more.... thought that if Howson was worth £5m then he was worth £3m, said that he's a "good player" and just generally seemed to be a bit delusional about his level of ability to be honest. 

A move to Rangers would be good for all concerned... its a big club so it won't dent his pride too much, but most of the teams he will be playing against are League One standard so he'll fit right in  :lol:

I don't blame Naismith for his failure here.... was pretty embarrassing how we had to pretty much beg him to come here, and then allegedly waived his relegation pay cut. 

Not sure how much you can expect to get from a player who is reluctant to take the job from day one. Suspect Rangers would squeeze an extra 25% out of him every match, because he actually wants to play for them.

Do you not think there is something a wee bit off about giving a player a new contract, a player that supposedly bleeds yellow and green (vom) to suddenly cut him loose like this? I do.

Its more likely Farke than it is Naismith or Martin. Look at the personalities of the two players and the ambassador type roles theyve done for clubs, with excessive community involvement, and look at Farkes entire management career to date.

Nah. Not having it. Russ is an absolute brown noser, and Farke has seen through it. Using his "Oh he is such a nice guy and is Mister Norwich City" to get a contract he didn't deserve, when we all know he hasn't really been good enough for at least 18 months.

Nah. Not having it. Russ is an absolute brown noser, and Farke has seen through it. Using his "Oh he is such a nice guy and is Mister Norwich City" to get a contract he didn't deserve, when we all know he hasn't really been good enough for at least 18 months.
