Head Coach Daniel Farke believes Norwich City have captured a striker 'full of talent and potential' in Dennis Srbeny.
The 23-year-old penned a three-and-a-half year deal with the Canaries on Thursday, completing a switch from German third tier side SC Paderborn.
"Dennis is a really talented and young striker," Farke told canaries.co.uk.
"We won’t put too much pressure on him, but he’s full of potential. He's in a really good rhythm and was probably Paderborn's most important offensive player.
"He’s able to save the ball and also is good with his back to the goal. He has a good instinct for scoring and for assists, because he works a lot for the team.
"In January, it's always difficult to get strikers who are scoring and in a rhythm as clubs don't want to let them go. We're really happy to have a striker full of self-confidence who has scored a lot of goals."
Srbeny joins City in good form, having netted nine times in 15 league appearances this term while also laying on eight assists.
"I think he will be a good fit for our squad," Farke added.
"We're happy we have him because there was a lot of competition. Plenty of clubs in Germany wanted him too.
"I'm still pretty well connected with Paderborn so it was easy for to experience his character and find out his behaviours. We were told really good things.
"He’s a bit different to Nelson [Oliveira], who’s really brilliant at linking the play. Dennis is a tall guy who can win headers but he's also good with the ball and has an instinct about where to go and how to score."
