John Ruddy leaves Twitter

I'm confused. I am, apart from this site, a user of (anti) social media. Personally I feel it has bred a generation of people who don't talk if they don't want to, don't make arrangements if they don't want to and can disguise their true intentions if they want to. I do accept I am in the minority and it is very, very popular.

But I have posted before that I don't believe that footballers ought to use platforms like Twitter while they are in the limelight.

John Ruddy got some stick from the fans. Tough. As long as it wasn't personal, then it is something you have to take. If it was personal, grab a steward and get the nasty piece of work ejected and threatened about their future at the club.

That said, is his twitter account just personal to NCFC? If not, why would him cancelling or deleting his account be significant to him leaving. Surely he would just not use the account?

When I look it says "Sorry, that page doesn't exist"? 

Which means that his account has been deleted. 

I get the same message on both of my accounts.

I think its for the best.   As a guy who spends far too much of his time on social media, i've seen multiple times how it can be a nightmare for some players.  

I only ever think footballers on twitter works if the player doesn't take it too seriously (e.g. Peter Crouch, Grant Holt etc) and they use it to just have a laugh with the fans

Got a bit of a feeling he'll be leaving NCFC as well as Twitter.
